Can’t figure out what it is. In person experience is okay as far as service, and store, but the general area, both Hesperia and Victorville both are the only locations I’ve ever experienced any issue with over several years. Unfortunately I am stuck with few alternatives, actually stopped going here because it was so problematic. I have visited almost every store in LA and Ventura Counties (not city), and while sometimes items would be out of stock, I would see that ahead of time. Grooming was great, no issues at all. Groomers here are good as far as the bath, but don’t trust them for anything else.
Here it is as if you the store is being micromanaged and nothing is getting done at all because of it, or just done with lots of errors.
8/10 times are problematic. Orders cancelled but marked as ready for pickup, with no notification otherwise, horrible nail service. Far down into the quik requiring vet visits, only for the store to say they don’t know how it could have happened.
Items cancelled for same day delivery, no notifications at all, no items substitution, no contact to say to replace the order at the other store. No smart logistics to transfer inventory from one to the other.
Victorville store which no longer has self wash would give me dirty rags with huge holes in them. Expected me to lift my 140lb dog into the bath, as there was no step stool, and only some broken ramp So instead I had to crouch down the entire time to do it on the floor.
I gave this store a 5 based on my initial in person experiences despite the awful bleeding nails, but more faults have shown through over just a few orders since, even then, it seems the problem is at a bigger level than employees or the store itself. It’s almost as if the store has given up on ever having proper resources of some sort and is becoming more disconnected from that over time, no longer even noticing how problematic these issues are to the end consumer. They have done well in presenting what they do have, and make the most of it, but it’s like driving a car with and never changing the oil or cleaning windshields.
Prior Review as of Last Year 5 Star I prefer this PetCo over the other nearby Bear Valley one. It is a little smaller, but seems to have just as much stuff, is better designed, and more welcoming than the...
Read moreThe cashier with the green on her hair tips (sorry I didn't get her name) needs better customer service skills! I was trying to purchase an item that was priced at .50 cents and she wanted me to pay $2.78 for it I informed her all the products had the same price of .50 cents why would I pay more than that! She continued insisting I pay the $2.78! I kept telling her the price on it says .50 cents! She said she couldn't nor wouldn't give it to me for the price marked on the item. It was not 50% off either the item was priced at .50 cents! So I then ask for her to put it to the side and I would return today 1/23/25 in the morning and speak to the manager to get the item for the price showing on the item she said "The manager will tell you the same thing I'm just going to take them all off the floor" she then told the other cashier with pinkish red hair on her tips to remove all the .50 cents items off the floor. I then suggested she get a can of dog food or any item that cost $1.00 and do half off in replacement of the item i was trying to purchase and add in the system the dog food was a substitute for the .50 cent markdown item and why. She said no and continued with her attitude, so again how can she 1. Be rude with her crappy attitude she was giving me, and 2. not sell me an item that was in their store priced by their employees and not honor that price?! She then went on to say "you can purchase it for $2.78 if you want it if not I'm not selling it to you" so I then walked out to put my other belongings in my vehicle and when I walked back inside the store for my family her and the other cashier were talking about me as if I was the one who priced all the items in their bin for .50 cents! By far the worst customer service! Train your employees to be better and know the system when you have discounted items...
Read moreTook my dog into Petco in Hesperia for a bath & groom. I usually go to the Petco in Big Bear, Dorothy is my go to person but she was booked till the end of June. I took the chance and brought him here. Not satisfied at all! The young lady Angel was rude, and looked like she didn’t wanted to be there. She then started to ask me how do I brush my dog and what I use as if I don’t already know how ( I have a 7 year old maltipoo) My dog’s past grooming style is on file, so as she looks it up on the computer she then says “ I don’t do bichon style cut on faces” I said that’s fine. She said it’ll take 2/3 hours for him, which I figured that cause usually that’s how long it takes for him. I left the store thinking I’ll return back in a couple of hours. Angel called me about one hour later saying that my dog was ready to be picked up. I was surprised she finished so fast! I’ve never had him be ready for pick up that quickly before. When I got there another lady was there and told me that Angel had left because she was sick. When the other lady brought him out I was mad at what she did to him! It didn’t even look like him, she practically shaved him. The excuse was that he was full of mats. In my 7 years of having him not one groomer has said that! They always say we can tell you take good care of him because his coat is healthy and we’ll cared for. In my opinion, because of her being sick she didn’t want to take the time to do her job properly, and shaved him without a bath. He smells like she didn’t bathe him. I have never had a bad experience anywhere else until today. I will take my business elsewhere. After seeing that I’m not the only one who has had a bad experience with Angel , I suggest that management think twice about...
