Been customer to staters 34 years. My whole life. I'm house sitting in Hesperia and went to main St and ave c location. With my 2 year old. Got my items. Checked out and paid. On way out they locked my wheels. Stoped me in front of entire store and asked for my receipt. Very embarrassing. Gave me excuses saying if you don't take the cart through checkout the wheels lock up. So here's the thing. I have dreadlocks and I'm covered in tattoos. Also my husband installs these magnets for stores so I know how they work. I am absolutely sure they profiled me on looks alone. So I am so unhappy with my exsperience that I would rather go elsewhere and pay more for my food than have to worriy about shopping at staters for now on. In all my life I have never been treated this way for my looks alone. And also I have never stolen anything at all. As a matter of fact last month I was at staters and they forgot to charge me for everything on bottom of my cart which was about 50$ worth of soda water and dog food. Did I walk out? No sir. I Informed the cashier she forgot and paid for it. And that's not the first time, I am always honest about that, and staters cashier's forget under my cart items all the time. Even when it's an accident I have never stolen. If I'm given wrong change back I speak up hey you gave me too much back! So this is my resignation. And it won't just be me shopping at Aldi Vons and anywhere but staters. All my friends and family will shop elsewhere as well. Shame on you start...
Read moreI went in last night to purchase a cake. I have never had this experience, so, I was shocked. The woman working the department clearly hates her job, hates her life, or both. When I walked up to the counter, she rudely asked, “are you ready?” And I responded with a, “no.” We made eye contact in which she rudely asked if I was ready again. I responded, “I’ll let you know when I’m ready.” She became impatient and rudely responded with, “are you ready? I’m tired of waiting.” When I told her the cake I wanted, she rudely told me to “step away from the glass” and then rudely cut in front of me. I was so frustrated at this point I ended up leaving the cake and going elsewhere. I didn’t get her name, but, it made me not ever want to come back here. She was speaking to me as if I was stupid and wasting her time. Terrible attitude and customer service. I get people go through things in their life, but, that was uncalled for when you’re literally in a position/role of...
Read moreI went shopping today to pick up a few grocery items, and I just want to provide my experience so that it may be addressed before other shoppers experience what I just have. The employees were engaged in a donation event, which is great, however, every couple of minutes, the intercom would blow out my eardrums as some ecstatic female would scream in an obtrusive, fever pitched-meltdown, over the loudspeaker, after a $1-5 donation was received. The noise and racket were so loud and disruptive, it made me quiver and produced an anxiety level that should be experienced by nobody. It was obnoxious, menacing, and constant, throughout my trip up and down the aisles, desperately searching for my items expediently so I could get out of that hell as soon as possible. Management, please, please, correct this audio explosive intrusion, as it completely destroyed my shopping experience in the most horrendous, disrespectful and...
