When I ordered my furniture in person, I clearly communicated that I wanted the display (same hardware, etc.), but a different type of wood. I received my bedroom set and it was not what I requested. I called and communicated my concern. There was no compassion, sympathy and/or a fair solution. I was told that I would have to pay an additional charge to get what I initially asked for plus another delivery charge. I spent over $7,000 for a bedroom set I do not like. The customer service was extremely poor. The representative that I spoke with had a very nonchalant attitude.This was my first time purchasing furniture with this company and it will be the last time I patronize this company. Companies with poor customer service will not last long. Prior to delivering the furniture, pictures should have been taken and emailed to me.
Update: I received a number of very unprofessional emails from this company (*please read email below from Nikol). The most unprofessional company I have ever done business with. They are not interested in a fair resolution. As one patron mentioned, this company just wants to make a sell. After further inspecting the furniture, I found poor workmanship inside of one of the night stands. I brought this to their attention today (3/26/24). Josh’s response was, you are just nitpicking and there is nothing I can do to appease you. Nikol never offered to send the furniture back. She told me I would have to pay for another delivery charge. When I called her (yesterday) the day my furniture was being delivered, the phone got disconnected and she never made an attempt to email me. I had to call her back. Nikol stated that my google review is 100% inaccurate. What about the other bad reviews you received??…are they also inaccurate?? I paid thousands of dollars for crappy furniture. Why wouldn’t I want to be satisfied with my purchase?? I was also told not to contact them again, but they agreed to a lifetime warranty. lol This review is to warn others not to do business with this company.

From your reviews of other businesses, it appears that maybe you only see the negative things in life, and I find that very sad. Of the 23 reviews you have posted 20 are one star, sometimes people only see the negative things in life, and that is a very sad life.
I find that most people in life who only take the time to post negative reviews are just miserable people in general, and maybe tearing other people or businesses down, makes them feel better somehow, and again it is very sad. to you to send the furniture back, and while I had you on hold, you took it upon yourself to let the delivery company leave, I have no control over that.
I tried to go over the different options with you to resolve the issue, and you talked over me and then hung up on me.
Had you acted like an adult and given me time to try and explain things to you, this situation would be entirely different. Read moreWe were looking for a quality made coffee table and decided that since we had a previous experience with Amish Oak and Cherry that would be our first stop when we traveled to Hickory. We were greeted upon entering the store by Nikol and told her what we were looking for. She directed us toward the area where coffee tables were displayed and said, “Let me know if you have any questions”. She did not “hoover” in the background as we browsed the store. We found the perfect table and made our purchase and even decided to add an end table of the same beautiful design. Since we would be transporting the purchases home in our truck, I asked about wrapping the items in some type of material to ensure they were not damaged in the return trip. They had bubble wrap in the store and I asked that the items be well packaged to ensure they arrived without damage. We had other stops to make and arrived at the dock about two hours later. As I backed up near the dock, I saw Nikol pushing a dolly with the coffee table on it and she even helped me load the truck with our purchases. We arrived home with an undamaged coffee table and end table due to the fantastic care and wrapping. I could not believe the customer service provided by Amish Oak and Cherry. The one item that was on the floor and ready to go, arrived missing one chair, and one chair was damaged. Sept 18th, Oct , we were told mid Oct that we would have it in 2-1/2 weeks, then we were told it was lost and Amish wants to provide 2 chairs not from the set I purchased. When I would not accept the replacements we were told they have the original chairs. At the Freight company At this point we do not have any trust and do not want to accept anything from Amish, I just want a refund on my partial set, and they can assemble and sell the pcs as they choose.
