Ylang 23 — Local services in Highland Park

The staff at Ylang 23 is fantastic - I could spend all day chatting with them! I don't have experience ordering online, but would highly recommend going into the store for a fun experience. Each staff member walked through their collection of various jewelry designers. You can absolutely tell their passion and enjoyment in what they do. Their piercer, Afton, is awesome - she actually apprenticed my regular piercer. A friend of mine received her first cartilage piercings from Afton and said the experience was calming and that Afton was very patient. During my first visit, I purchased 4 earrings and had Afton rearrange a few earring placements. She took her time cleaning each earring and installing/arranging the earrings. The only reason I've given Ylang 23 4 stars is due to their stock, which may be due to COVID-19. I was looking for a new Daith earring. Unfortunately, they didn't have any from the designer I wanted, so I went with another designer. The earring is gorgeous, but not the best option for a Daith piercing. One of the worst online purchase exp I ever had & worst of the return policy , will not shop here anymore. Purchased a couple of bracelets for family, but one of it doesn't fit the size, so I tried to return it, thought this will be just like returning in the real world like in bloomingdale, neiman marcus or any other place e.g. Amazon. Only after I make the call ~10 days later ( out of town) to them to find out they have a 7-day return policy if u r more than 7 days, first u will need to pay the return yourself and second they will only give you store credit back, how is such rude return policy exists, on their website, they only bragging about FREE 2-DAY SHIPPING ON ORDERS $150+, PLUS FREE RETURNS. This's nuts. Plz be very cautious about this hidden 7 days return rule. I feel hurt as a customer. I made an appointment to get a piercing, which requires a $20 deposit. Their store called to cancel that appointment because they weren’t going to be open on Memorial and asked if I wanted to reschedule. I declined and asked for the deposit back. It’s been 9 weeks with three emails and a call, with them saying first they were having issues with their cc vendor and then saying they were sending a check. If you can charge me $20 for the deposit and charge $100 for the jelwery and another $40 for the piercing.. surely you can give me my $20 bucks back!
