Dining at Sachet is an elevated experience in Cuisine, and Service! Like many, I’ve had the pleasure of sitting next to an industry person at a bar. My good fortune one night, was sitting next to the GM of Sachet Mr. Beavers. Nothing he shared about Sachet was embellished. He even remember the Japanese Whiskey I drink, and made sure they had it before our reservation. Arriving, I loved the convenience of valet parking, and the full view of the interior that greets you from the moment you step from your vehicle. While Dallas has many restaurants that feel stuffy, and heavy, this one is the exact opposite; airy, spacious, and bright. Every employee, whether attending our table, or not, passed with a smile, and greeting! I definitely suggest arriving hungry, so you have the opportunity to enjoy all courses, maybe even order several like we did, and share. Moderately priced, Sachet isn’t the perfect spot for those on a tight budget, but wonderful for a special occasion. The other guest dining the night we visited, crossed all demographics, and their attire ranged from high fashion to casual, so you should feel comfortable arriving dressed in attire that best suits you. although, we dined at a table, I love sitting at the bar, and Sachet has a beautifully designed bar for those who enjoy the fellowship of sitting at the bar. You’ll also find a Sommelier on staff, to compliment their amazing wine display, so you’re in good hands. Happy dining, and see you at the...
Read moreMy wife and I went for our first time, and unfortunately it will be our last time.
The food was good, my wife had the lamb and I had the fish. That is the only positive of the evening.
I don't know if our waitress was having a bad night, or just decided to ignore us once we told her we had not been there before. We were seated quickly, and had to wait awhile for our waitress to come by the first time. No problem there, we were ready to order an appetizer along with our drinks, but she declined to take anything other than our drink order. From there it went downhill, after taking away the plates for the appetizer we did not see her again until we were done eating our entrees. My wife asked for the drink menu to order a second drink, and tried to order one from the guy who brought out our food because we hadn't seen the waitress in a long time. That drink never came, and by the time the waitress came back we were ready to leave and asked for the check. I assume she could tell we were not happy because she sent a different waiter over to give the check to us, and he offered a free dessert since it was our first time there. We declined and left.
If it was busy all around and other tables around us had similar experiences I would cut them some slack, but that wasn't the case. It seems like for whatever reason we drew the short straw and got a waitress who wasn't interested in helping us. A few more minutes and I would have asked the hostess...
Read moreI went to Sachet a few nights ago for a going away dinner for one of our executives. This place is AMAZING!! There were seven of us total and we all ordered two or three of the Meze so we got to taste just about everything. They were all delicious but the farro, mushrooms and cauliflower and the okra with tomato, coriander, shallot and other yummy stuff were two of my faves. I skipped right over the salads (when there are so many courses, a girl has to be picky!) and opted for a pasta appetizer instead. All of the pasta is made in house. That says it all right there. I had a squid ink lobster pasta in a tomato broth that was to die for. The lamp chops I had as my main course would have stolen the show if not for the tahini chocolate mouse with sea salt caramel for dessert. YUM!! I'm a die hard dessert fan and this was one of the tastiest and most unique desserts I've ever had. Yes, tahini is that stuff they out in hummus but trust me, it's amazing. Lastly, they have an amazing and unique wine selection with wines from Israel and places you would never think of for wine and they were delicious! I've also never been a fan of dessert wine and I tasted a few that changed my mind. So good! And the service was OUTSTANDING the entire night. Wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. Several of the awesome chefs even stopped by our table to thank us for dining with them and deliver our dishes personally. I can't wait...
