TALK ABOUT A WONDERFUL DELICIOUS ENTERTAINING EXPERIENCE! There are so many authentic food trucks, and not one of them are alike! The atmosphere was uplifting and genuinely refreshing. I honestly lost count of how many food trucks were present. The smells and quality menu boards kept distracting me. The smells were simply divine! You have so many options to choose from. Ribs, Crepes, Savory and Sweet, Thai, German, Spanish/Mexican, Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Gyros, Spaghetti, Chinese, Indian, Fried Fish and more, Indian, Kaos, Teriyaki, Philly Steak, Korean, Russian, Beer, BBQ, Coffee and more, Sushi and Burritos, Bobablastic, Cuban, Chicken just to name a few! My husband and I ordered several items with the plan to take them home to enjoy over the weekend...but...they didn't make it home! The flavors are incredible, and the individuals managing/possible owners of the carts, were literally the nicest, most friendly individuals. There is a gorgeous open building with heaters for the winter and fans for the summer. They had a couple singing and a super large screen that played throughout. My only issue would be the price of the food. You get a fair amount of food, but the prices are a bit steep. I have on good authority that the vendors are charged around $2400 per month to rent the space. That is around $80,000 total coming in, combined for a month. I would have liked to have been charged less, so in turn, we would spend more and spread the love to other vendors. It would also be easier to justify a weekly visit to this location. It's just how I roll! However, we were charged an average of $17 per plate not including the tip of $3, which finishes off that $20 bill. A few dollars cheaper would solve this problem. $2 to $3 cheaper is all I would hope for. All in all, the vendors deserve the best, so we will gladly be returning. Blessing...
Read moreBrand new build at what used to be an eyesore of a lot on Baseline. There are more than a dozen food trucks at this facility! We were only able to eat at two, so far, but what we had was very encouraging!
Soul Korea had the crunchiest hot chicken I've had in quite a while! The sauce was spicy, but tamed down a bit. Unlike many Korean food selections tamed down for an Anglo audience, their chicken was not too sweet and not goopy. Accompaniments to this plate were short grain, slightly sticky rice a minuscule salad and some lovely looking kimchee, which my companion ate up quickly!
A Pinch of Spice, the Indian food truck, was equally good. I ordered the chicken curry, which was accompanied by Basmati rice, cooked perfectly. The curry tasted of ginger, tomato, turmeric and cinnamon, just the way it should. The chicken was chunks of white meat cooked tender, but not overcooked.
The portions were very generous. I also ordered the freshly baked Naan and a mango Lassi. The Naan was crispy with just the right chew and perfect texture for dipping in the curry.
The Lassi was a good texture and not too sweet, just the right balance and...
Read moreMy partner and I stopped in for a late lunch, on a Thursday around 4pm.
We shared a Crowded Potato with pulled pork and original BBQ sauce from Chin's BBQ. It was a very solid dish, 4.5/5. The Pork was delectable, the Potato and Mac, very good. I wish we had tried the Sweet BBQ sauce though, and that there had been more of it.
We got Loaded Nachos from Ali Hot Chicken. The hotness of the chicken can be personalized from 0-10, I choose 2 since I cannot handle spicy food but love a little kick. I was definitely glad I didn't order the chicken any spicier since even the 2 made my eyes water. I also ordered the buffalo sauce on the side, but the jalapeno and red peppers definitely made this dish heartburn inducing! The chicken was juicy and delicious, and the nacho cheese and chips were okay, 4/5.
I ordered a Hazy IPA, that I had never tried before, that was on tap from the indoor bar. Beer was great, but the bartender was on the phone while he was serving me which was definitely off-putting and the reason my overall service rating is a 4/5.
We got a Strawberry Cheesecake dessert crepe from Oh My Crepe! Amazing! 5/5!...
