I cannot say enough about these guys. Water Guru / Mechanical Solutions did the well inspection and serviced the filtration system when I moved into this house 7 years ago and have made such a great impression every time I’ve dealt with them that I will never call anyone else. When my water went out on a Saturday evening a week ago, I got their fantastic after-hours call center (I spoke to an actual human!) and received a call back from Ernie within the hour. I was stressing out and forgot where the fuse box was, but Ernie was upbeat, helpful, and incredibly patient the whole time. Ernie and Vince spent a lot of their day (on Superbowl Sunday!) at my house –not just dropping in a new pump, but being thorough; they made certain that any related problems were rectified. I can’t overstate that they went WAY above and beyond. A lot of small businesses use the phrase “make it right” to refer to doing the right thing when there’s been a mistake on their part. The way Vince uses it, I feel like it means handling the situation at a customer’s home with the same level of attention and care he’d use at his own home. After this, I’d never consider letting the home warranty people pick who comes out to handle a water issue –there is no one else in the Triangle I trust like Water Guru. We just moved into a new house and engaged Water Guru to test our well water and provide an assessment of water quality and filtration needs. Unlike another company that focused on selling me the biggest possible whole house system (at highest cost) , Brian Collins of Water Guru tested the water and focused on what we truly needed. The testing showed excellent quality, good pH water without any dangerous metal levels or other health related concerns, but very hard water. Brian suggested a system to soften the water plus a simple sediment filtration system. After patiently explaining the pros and cons of adding an RO system, he confirmed our research that an RO wasn't necessary. Brian is truly an expert in the field and knows what he's talking about. I know that since I worked for a company that manufactured high-end water purification equipment for medical applications. In summary, Brian is a nice guy and true professional focused solely on the customer's needs. The system we purchased was installed without any issues and Brian and the installer gave us clear explanations/instructions on the system. I had an ancient though working just fine Ecowater softener system that had a problem fixable by a small part - but a part no longer available. The team at Mechanical Solutions searched hard and finally found and installed that part at little profit to the company but to my deep gratitude and substantial savings. And when we finally had to replace the old system, they were very helpful in cheerfully researching and explaining a new, far more efficient installation.
