China Fuji — Restaurant in Hillsborough

Been here several times over the years, and the food used to be kind of hit or miss. But this place has definitely turned sour. The interior is completely filled with boxes and overstock items from the kitchen pantry. The lighting is ALWAYS DARK. The staff, while I really try to support family owned places, are quite rude. A few folks have been pleasant in the past, but mostly rude. I ate here a few days ago, got sweet and sour chicken with fried rice and a spring roll. I asked if dining in was available, seeing all the boxes, and was told, "Pay first, then you can sit." So I paid first, waited for the food, then retrieved it and napkins and utensils myself. No clue what was in that spring roll, but it went in the trash. Tasted like soggy fish. The rice was bland and flavorless with no veggies or egg in it. The chicken was hard, as if it had been sitting out and possibly reheated. But the kicker was the sweet and sour sauce. It was like tropical punch kool-aid. Red water with a hint of sweetness. Horrible Service!! I went there today to order lunch and when I handed the cashier my $10 dollar bill she kept checking it to make sure it was real. Ok, no problem. I understand lot of places do that. There was a small rip in the bill and she asked me if I had another one. I told her no, that bill is good so she proceeds to walk to the back with my money but I stopped her. She tried more than once to walk off with my money and again I stopped her so she opens up the curtain to say something to someone in the back in their native language then comes back to the cash register still holding my money by then I was starting to get pissed so I asked for my money back and walked out of the restaurant. They tried to stop me but I kept walking. I will never spend money in a place like that. That was my first and will be my last time going there and will be encouraging others to spend their money somewhere else. You cannot treat people like crap and expect them to support...

FIRST AND LAST I EVER COME HERE!!!!!!! Husband had a taste for Chinese food walked in ghost town inside walked up to the counter middle aged lady rude off gate said what you need! I asked do you have szechuan chicken?She said what size said what sizes do you have she rolled her eyes with an attitude told me the sizes asked how much egg rolls are turned over the menu rudley and points here!!
