Let me just start out by saying people spend their money where there is great customer service and offer quality products/food and if something isnât right the manager makes it right because we the customers are the very reason people get their paycheck from our money. With that being said just because a company has been open for a long period of time doesnât necessarily mean they donât make mistakes nor does it mean itâs ok to discriminate against certain people and decide to treat them like second class citizens when theyâre not satisfied with their service or meal. Thatâs bad for such a small business. Some people nowadays just accept it. If you are going to prepare and cook food for the public it has to be safe but if the cook is not trained properly they push out food that is undercooked,crappy food especially when they are barely making minimum wage so it all starts with the manager.This could make people really sick. Undercooked meat,outdated , food cooked and served without hands being washed before handling food that is absolutely disgusting and Iâm sure if this restaurant got a pop up health inspection they would without a doubt fail they would have to close for at least a week just for cleaning and be penalized severely for serving food that is out dated mice have probably made a home in the restaurant along with all the roaches.If you canât make it right for a customer being a manager/owner that shows whatâs more important. This is not a place for other people to try to bash paying customers just because you been going there since they opened do not ever cast your invaluable opinions about others personally just because you been going somewhere since they opened doesnât mean anything you are just buddies with the owner and obviously your tastebuds might need to be checked because you are eating food that I personally wouldnât feed a DOG so keep your mouth off of others reviews and let your reviews be about protecting a company that will fail a health inspection on the spot.So the food is severely below health standards and you never know when your company will be inspected again with a below grade inspection. And whoever posted about someone being broke lol boy you got it twisted. Check your wallet and make reviews based on your opinion about the company not poorly...
   Read moreHaven't been here in about 10 years. Got a craving for a good old fashioned American burger that you can't get at any fast food. Decided to stop in and pick up one on my way home.
The staff, friendly as all hell. I felt welcome and at home. They were very efficient, too! I got my burger before I even finished ordering. (not literally, for those wondering.)
The restaurant was clean and inviting. I used to frequent diners as a kid. Walking in here today took me right back to my favorite time in my life.
Now for what you came here to read. The burger. Where do I even start? I took it home without looking at it, get myself settled in on the couch and queued up a YouTube video. As I unwrapped the foil- I felt as if I was lifting the veil to my new bride. It looked so beautiful, I couldn't believe it. The bun had steamed slightly while it was wrapped during the 5 minute car ride. The patty was huge, perfectly seasoned and cooked. I got mayo, grilled onions, grilled jalapeños, and grilled mushrooms. The mayo gave the perfect sweet tang. The onions filled my olfactory with a present aroma. The jalapeños were pickled and brought a bright crisp heat to round everything out. The mushrooms boosted the umami of the patty, making it even more savory. Let me tell you. That first bite, I was in tears. I haven't tasted anything so good in.. I couldn't tell you how long. This burger hit exactly all the right notes and was EXACTLY what I wanted. This is the type of meal you remember for the rest of your life.
Please, do yourself a favor. When you're craving perfection, go here. When you're stressed and want to return to simpler times, go here. When you want a damn fine burger, unmatched by all, go here.

   Read moreI used to eat at this restaurant several times a week several years ago. I decided to eat there again today when I was in town because I had always enjoyed it in the past. My father, my fiancĂ© and I ordered our food today and when our food arrived my dadâs order was correct but mine and my fiancĂ©âs orders were not correct. I told the waitress I would just eat mine the way it was. My fiance asked the waitress to fix his burger because it had the wrong toppings on it. She brought it back with the right toppings added to the wrong toppings. My fiancĂ© asked her to remake the burger with just the right toppings on it. And he had also asked for 2 burgers and he only received one burger. When the bill came the management were very rude and made it seem like it was our fault for wanting our correct order and accusing us of wasting food for having to remake the burger with the correct toppings. Then when my father had questions about the bill that didnât seem right management became quite hostile and demanded that we leave the restaurant. I have been a loyal customer of Andyâs/Hwy 55 for years and years and I have never been treated like this. I doubt I will ever go back to that location even though it used to be one of my favorite...
