The Pit Unleashed — Local services in Hillsborough

I cannot say enough about how rude (some of) the people who work here are. This is in contrast to the Mebane location where my interactions with the staff were all pleasant. I have wanted to post something for a while, but as I have never posted a negative review ever (I am hesitant now as I try to ALWAYS look for the best in a person or a place). I though I would let some time pass and perhaps my anger for my horrible treatment would subside. It has not, I cringe every time I drive by and see the sign. I can honestly say I have cannot remember ever being treated so poorly as a customer in my life. I myself worked in customer service for many years when I was younger and am well aware that people can have an off day, or have something misinterpreted, but the staff here was consistently rude, each and every time I interacted with them (or they with me as the case may be). The pit is the absolute best gym I have ever been to, it might sound hokey and cliche but they really do treat you like friends and family. Everyone has always been beyond helpful, Marcus is a world class athlete but threats everyone like an old workout buddy. They have some of the most knowledgeable trainers you could hope to find, it doesn't matter if you are new to lifting, want to improve your conditioning, or compete in body building, power lifting, or strongman, they have someone for you . You wont find pizza parties or wannabe influencers recording, but if you want the kind of gym where people will stop their work out just to cheer you on during a lift, where everyone is your hype man, and where you have people that actually care about helping you reach your goals and potential, then you will not find a...

The Pit is hands-down one of the best gyms I've been to. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the equipment is exceptionally well-maintained. You can tell the owners are true fitness veterans—there’s a level of attention to detail here that sets it apart from other gyms.
