You know, a bad haircut is one thing, not refunding for it another, but blatantly lying to and blaming the customer is a whole insanely next level thing. They butchered my head. No other way to say it. I asked for the sides to be shaved down, that’s all. I instead got some weird parted crew cut disaster. I called for a refund, was lied to 3 times on 3 different days that they needed a manager to call me back for it to go through. They never called back, I had to call them to finally get a manager. Manager said I wouldn’t get a refund but I’d get a partial since I didn’t get a full cut. That’s also false, I did get a full cut (against my wishes); but not the full service, they didn’t include the shampoo but only because the water line was down. In the end, I had $60 stolen from me, the stylist didn’t follow directions, the manager told me that’s what I get for buzzing my head myself (idk what that means, I didn’t buzz my head myself?), and I’m stuck looking like Simple Jack.
Go to Hoboken Barbershop instead. Even if you get a bad cut, they won’t act like you’re hallucinating your experience, and I promise, they won’t give...

Took my 13 month old son here for his first haircut. It was such a disappointing experience. The lady who did our haircut was so cold and uninterested in the haircut. 30 seconds into the haircut, my son was crying, and instead of trying to distract or calm him down, she kept saying this will take me forever to finish and basically had us pin him down.
She spent a total of maybe 5-7 minutes on his haircut with zero empathy. Her concern was other disturbed customers from my baby's crying. Maybe if she spent a few minutes trying to calm him down, he would've done better. She didn't even smile once, forget trying to calm him down. He is not someone who cries (very rarely) and is easily distracted.
I really think this place should reconsider selling kids haircuts if their staff is incompetent of handling them or don't want them around in general. Please dont ruin parent's first haircut experiences for their babies and ruin it...
Read moreMy six year old son is not a fan of getting haircuts at all. But, at The Hoboken Man, Omar is amazing with my son! We got there a little early. We easily checked in and they offered me something to drink and had lollipops for my son. They have free WiFi with the password available. The barbershop is nice and very well kept. Omar got us right on time. He has a special seat for my son to sit on so he is at the right height. Wrapped a white cloth around his neck before the cover to stop any hair from bothering him. Omar talks with my son to make sure he is okay and gets the haircut done quickly. The cut itself is awesome. He checks with me to make sure I am happy with the length and look. He then puts in Muk to give him the final look. My son loves his haircut so much that he even wants us to put Muk in his...
