My first Sirenetta experience was interesting but good. We came in with big expectations due to the high praise from others. We booked a Friday night reservation almost a week in advance, and we were seated pretty much right away. The place is gorgeous and clean. We sat at a table close to the bar with clear sight light to the raw bar. And arguably most importantly, the staff was great. The hostess, the two managers, our server, and the bartender were incredibly kind, professional, and personable. We ordered two drinks from the Moscow Mule Bar, both of which were delicious. One was made with Jameson and peach liqueur, the other with bourbon. We love mules, so this was a no brainer for us. For starters, we ordered the Grilled Octopus. This was our favorite dish of the night. Absolutely delicious, great char, big flavor. Highly recommend. Our starters were regrettably less than impressive. Our Mahi Mahi was tasty but undercooked, to the point where it could have, and maybe should have, been sent back. The very middle of the fish was noticeably raw, but the rest of the fish was good enough. It was served with a few different forms of eggplant, the thinly fried eggplant being the standout side component. The other starter, as recommended by our server, was the Lobster Rigatoni. The lobster portion was generous, and the lobster itself was awesome. Unfortunately the pasta was a little too al dente. I like my pasta a bit softer, but this bordered on chewy. It was especially disappointing because it was homemade pasta. Overall it was a good, but not great, experience. I would definitely return to Sirenetta again, in fact I look forward to dabbling with the raw bar and other dishes.

Our dinner was Friday night. We ordered appetizer, second course, desserts and drinks for two people. The food was quite good and the attention from the servers was correct. However, it was in very bad taste to ask us to vacate our table even when we were consuming our drinks for the reason that There were reservations, we understand how this business is run, but while a customer is consuming it is rude and very rude to do this. In such a case, communicate in advance until what time a table can be used due to reservations made, they will never inform us of it. Very bad management on the part of the manager when even for the third time he asked us to move to the bar and we were still consuming more drinks we also let the server know that we wanted to order more food and he also refused. completely unacceptable that kind of attention and lack of communication

It’s great to finally see a decent restaurant coming to Hoboken- the ambience and the food are what you would expect from a spot in LES or Brooklyn Heights, that’s great news! The service was ok- we had a reservation and nevertheless had to wait over 30min, which wasn’t cool...and the menu mentioned we would get offered a selection of starters for participating to the soft launch of the restaurant... but we found out it was only for the friends and family of the owner...I’m which case I’m not sure why it was on the menu? Anyway, food was great- only exception being the fried oysters...which were very much a typical American seafood item...not a lot of flavor besides the greasiness. The menu doesn’t have prices which I found interesting- eventually it came to 85$/pp which I think was right for the quality and amount of food we had. Overall recommended!

I tried to go during happy hour but made it around 6 pm on April 30. I was greeted at the door by the host and waited 5-7 minutes by the bar to get a seat outside. The service at the bar was good and the red wine was strong. When I was seated outside, I put in an order of fries and oysters. I was greeted be a women who was brown with curly hair. There was a table of five people that sat after me. After a few minutes of not being checked on, a male server brought oysters of twelve to the table of five that came after me. I couldn’t believe it at first because I was seated first but the table voiced that the order was wrong and they gave the oysters to me, which I ordered. The waiter said it was his first day so I let him off. But it got weird when my female waiter constantly checked up with the table of five first and then barely checked in on me, which was always after. She didn’t give good service, I asked for another wine and she continued to give the table of five better service and their food faster. After that I just told her to scratch off my other orders and just give me the check. She gave me my check quick and just walked away without waiting for a response from me. It’s a sad world we live in where we can’t just enjoy food and go out to eat when servers treat you based on how they stereotypically perceive you. She must’ve thought I wouldn’t give her a good tip. But she was wrong, I still gave her a tip and left earlier. My experience yesterday was very disheartening because I came from New Jersey, which is an hour and 35 minutes away. The oysters didn’t taste all that good after this experience. Your better off trying other oyster places because the sauces and customer service...

I think disappointed is an understatement. The service was terrible and the food made my girlfriend sick. We went out for my girlfriends birthday and didn't even stay for dessert because we didn't feel like waiting another hour. After we were seated it took at least 10 minutes for our waitress to approach us. We ordered the baked brie and two entrees because we were told that we had to order everything at once. After about 30 minutes, our entrees came out before our baked brie. We tell the food runner that we had an appetizer and after trying to give us our entrees he goes back to the kitchen to check for our brie. About 10 more minutes pass by and who I believe was the manager (didn't introduce himself) approaches us and tells us that we had never ordered the brie and he could give us our entrees now. I asked if we could order the brie and he tells us that they have been out of the brie for a week (our waitress never told us this). He then proceeds to be extremely rude when we try to order another appetizer. He made it seem as if we never ordered the brie and just wasted two entrees. His tone of voice was very accusatory, condescending and rude to the extent that it made my girlfriend cry. After grudgingly taking our order for another appetizer he didn't speak to us again for the rest of the night and seemed like he almost tried to avoid us. After another 30 minutes of waiting we finally get our appetizer. A total of 2 hours in the restaurant for just an appetizer and two entrees was a waste of our time. I will never be...
