Village Tree House — Local services in Hoboken

What? Village Tree House. A play center in Hoboken. Suitable for 6 and under, it has a huge selection of equipment and toys to keep your little one busy. They also host birthday parties and regular themed events throughout the year.

Where? 119 Monroe Street in Hoboken. Quite easy to get to from Manhattan. You could get the PATH train from 33rd Street or World Trade Center to the main Hoboken station, then it’s around a 15 minutes walk to Village Tree House. From Hoboken station, you could also get the light rail to 2nd Street then it’s a few minutes walk away. There’s also the ferry as an option!

When? Open Play is available Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sun. Their availability changes a lot however so make sure to book ahead online.

Cost? $25 for 90 minutes. This is quite good value in my opinion, and there’s definitely places that charge way more than this.

Our Rating? 8/10. We’ve visited here around five times now, as part of playdates. It’s always been enjoyed by everyone, and every child finds something to keep them entertained. There’s also a bathroom with a changing table, and lots of space at the front for strollers and such.

Anything else? Hoboken is full of amazing views, restaurants and bars to make this into a day trip!

Celebrated my baby’s first birthday party at this place and couldn’t be happier with the end results from the staff being super communicative and responding to all of my questions through emails as fast as possible to the actual event! The party consisted of mainly babies, a couple older kids and their parents and we all had a blast from the smaller baby to the oldest. They had so many toys to play with, bubble time, we could pick the songs played and bring our own food/ drinks / desserts! They took care of everything from setting everything up( which i greatly appreciate since i didn’t have to decorate ANYTHING just gave the instructions of the theme and colors and just arrived to the place with everything already done) to the clean up! I really recommend this place I thought parking would be a problem since its located in hoboken but the party was on a sunday and surprisingly it wasn’t hard to find parking for us and most of our guests! Definitely will recommend this place to all of my friends and family...

I can’t say enough about village tree house! I brought my five year old twins For an open play, I wasn’t sure if there would be enough for them to do since they are on the older end of the age limit ( infant - 6 years). I was so wrong they didn’t want to leave!!!! They loved everything! The rock climbing wall, the bouncy balls, grocery store and so much more! Marisa and Marissa the owners were so friendly and welcoming! My kids keep asking when we are going back! Village tree house is not only perfect for bad weather days when we can’t get to the park but it will also be great for super hot summer days when we can’t take the heat!
