We had the worst experience hosting a party at this mediocre at best pizza place. The owner, Marc, does not know how to run a restaurant or handle a private party. He completely under ordered food for our party and had no one there to manage our party. In fact, when our party arrived and they knew that there wasn't enough food - they did nothing expect demand we pay for service that wasn't provided. How do you run out of salad and pizza when your a pizza place?! They clearly couldn't handle our party, or any party, in my opinion. Even worse was the food; what little made was inedible - the pasta with roasted tomatoes was not freshly prepared and instead tasted like Ragu from a store bought sauce. We were so disappointed with how Dozzino handled our party, including the lack of service, management, and food. Many guests left early because there was no food and it was such an embarrassment. Living in Hoboken as a local for many years, it is shocking to me how such a place still can be in business. Turns out Dozzino has problems with running out of food and poorly managed parties in the past - wish we knew that before we made the mistake of trusting them with our own party. Don't waste your time or money...

We rented out the space for my son’s first birthday party and couldn’t have been happier. The food was delicious (pizza, salads, meatballs) and the staff was AMAZING. Super helpful and friendly to all of the kids, family and friends. Jennifer from Sugarsuckle delivered the cake and cookies to the event the day of the party (also delicious!) so it was super easy for us to throw together!

Note: You can get a discount at Capporinos Liquor store (next door) when you purchase your BYOB there. AND Puppetonia did a puppet show for us that the kids LOVED! The way the restaurant is set up we were able to make a “kid area” and an “adult area” so the parents could get a...

Came here at 6pm on a Friday and tried to sit outside in their backyard space. First off it was filled with kids who were bumping into our table (almost knocked over our 2 bottles of wine) and running around screaming, and then additionally the staff brought out cups for our water and wine and the cups had actual dirt on them (more than just dirty from not being washed). Typically we aren’t hard on restaurants in this capacity, but this was unacceptable to the point where we had to get up and leave before we could even order. Very disappointed as we have walked past several times and thought the backyard looked inviting. Probably will not return after...

Went to Dozzino with some friends, and everyone loved it!!! They have a large patio in the back, and a few tables in the front. The patio tends to be very popular, so you might have to wait a bit for a table there. The pizzas were really good, we really liked the Bianco and the Guanciale. Make sure you add the Pizza Crunch (mix of garlic, chili oil. It tastes so good, and it's not very hot). We also tried a few of the appetizers, and we really liked the fried zucchini and the suppli (rice balls). The mascarpone ice cream is also SO good!! Definitely worth a visit.

Honestly, it's very average food at best. In a city that has 100 options for pizza and other Italian fares, it's a wonder how this place is still in business! Pizza is very doughy in an almost undercooked way, but concurrently, the crust is pretty burnt in areas, making it inedible (unless you enjoy ingesting ash and charcoal). The plastic cutlery and tiny paper plates provided during the meal made this seem more like a Chuck-e-cheese pizza party than a legit restaurant. Won't be returning.

Nice little spot with good pizza and quick service, also BYOB. The “honey” and “spicy pepperoni” pizza stood out among all ordered (“la pizza” pictured) and all had a fluffy chewy crust. Many had basil listed as an ingredient and no basil to be seen; would have helped complete the package on some of the pies (BYOBasil?). Sauce is somewhat bitter and overall the flavors fell somewhat flat. Worth a try, could easily be someone’s favorite with a slightly different taste preference.
