What a swanky market! I felt right at home since I usually shop at a health food store. They had just about everything you could want… being that it’s a very small store, the choices were limited. BUT, they had what we needed and we were grateful they had it. Firewood was $20/bundle. Beer was average-priced (it was mostly local beer with a few basics like Budweiser, etc). There was a deli counter with ready-made salads and baked goods and things like mac n cheese. They had frozen Talenti ice cream, Amy’s frozen dinners, pastas and sauces, some fresh veggies, kombucha, cheeses, pastas and sauces, cleaning supplies, Nathan’s hot dogs…Plus toiletries and basic baby supplies. In fact, they had an adjoining baby clothing store. The staff was friendly and it seemed really new. There’s a cute outdoor area with tables and what looks to maybe be a food truck situation… It’s a great place to...

Know what you're in for. I hate leaving poor reviews, especially for small business, I want them to succeed, truly. Let's be honest, you write a review only if it's exceptional or terrible, and unfortunately this is the latter. I left angry because of the pricing. I read management responses to this; we ALL know food prices have gone up, that's not what this is. You're just taking advantage of folks knowing they won't drive the extra 20 minutes to town and it's shameful. Don't take my word, even in the 5 star reviews, every one mentions high prices. Here are some examples: Cinnamon Toast Crunch $9, can of green beans $5, single bell pepper $2.50, single avocado $3, Brianna's salad dressing $8. At some point it became entertaining walking around to look at prices....

Well I debated writing the review due to the owners unprofessional responses to most of the reviews. My family and I travel rather frequently a year and have been to many rural towns and I have got to say this one takes the cake for the most expensive prices. $67 for pizza and cookies. The deli food appeared as if was sitting out all day as well. You could say it’s like a whole market or Trader Joe’s vibe with over inflated prices. I think the owner should take in consideration opening a business in rural area does have its quirks but you sign up for that , but in the end the customer is right and should probably be transparent. I would say it’s more for a tourist vacation take a pic as if it was...

***thank you for reaching out & correcting it. like i said the place and the people are nice. they are very accomodating & very responsive. highly recommended. ~~~~~~~ nice little store but few selections, the staff are also very nice. the price though is a bit too high, i got a 3lb chicken for 36dollars but i didn’t ask prior to getting one. so always ask i guess. other than that, the visit was pretty good & hope to see more fresh produce in the future.

Prices were high, but you expect that when you are in a tourist trap town. Now, don't get me wrong, it is beautiful here and we'll come back in the summer when we can enjoy the lake. It's beautiful here. Back to The Market, they had good choices on just about everything. And it's very convenient unless you want to drive about 20 mi to Idabel or further away for a big grocery store.
