We are out of town, and we bought a tv stand and they told us we could return it for our money back. Since they had to order it, we measured it and it doesn't work. We called to let them know and they said they would only give us in store credit. The guy was very rude.
UPDATE: I get it says that in your policy. However, then it should be consistent with what your employees say. We asked before buying in these exact words, " can we return this and get our money back if it does not fit." The staff member said in these exact words ," yes, just call and we can get you your money back." So we paid for it, THEN got the policy attached to it. Wasn't explained like other companies do or anything. He did not offer measuring anything and also did not say it was in store credit. We obviously asked for a reason. A policy is pointless to have if your employees do not know what it is or do not go over it with the customer or give the customer the wrong information. This is a result of poor communication on YOUR part. You are not taking any responsibility for this which blows my mind. You keep going back to "it is in our policy." Which again, we were told different from what your policy states which is unacceptible. Read moreMy wife and I spent the better part of two weekends looking for a bedroom set that had very specific criteria (hardwood, sturdy, storage, and 24" or 26" nightstands). We went all over Grand Rapids, Holland, and Grand Haven. This store wasn't even on our radar, but while leaving another store we saw the sign for The FMW and popped in. Abby greeted us immediately and offered a helping hand if we needed. There was no pressure, no typical sales gimmicks, and no wasted time.
After countless wasted hours, the perfect bedroom set was right there on the showroom floor. Went and found Abby, and 20 minutes later we were out of there with the bedroom set purchased. About 10 days later, the team arrived at my home (in the POURING RAIN!) to deliver and assemble the bedroom. The team was professional but also laid back and courteous. They worked with me on placing the furniture exactly where and how I wanted, and even put my mattress on. They took the time to make sure the electric was hooked up and that the built in touch lights worked as intended.
I couldn't be happier with our purchase and can't recommend The FMW or Abby any higher. Thanks for a job well done. Customer service seems to be a thing of the past, but these guys really got the job done from...
Read moreI’ve brought furniture from this company for 20 years. I usually have a good experience. Recently I brought a sectional that is horrible. After having the furniture for a two weeks I realized this furniture was made poorly. Was told the furniture is under warranty. The owners refused to return it or offer in store credit. I paid well over 1100 dollars for a piece of defective furniture. There’s no point in spending money with a company that doesn’t have a return policy. The store is ordering new cushions. If that doesn’t fix the problem I’m screwed. I’ve brought every living room set I’ve owned from here. I was under the impression they at least valued me as customer. Unfortunately that didn’t matter. I brought my bed room furniture and accent chair from ArtVan. I had to return my mattress and they accommodated all my needs. This store has a good selection of furniture but zero return policy so weight out your options before making a furniture investment. I won’t purchase or recommend my family to do business here.
