Today, my wife and I visited Buffalo Wild Wings in Holland, Michigan, around 2 PM for what we hoped would be a pleasant dining experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed by the lack of service and hospitality, prompting us to leave without ever placing an order.
From the start, the experience was underwhelming. The hostess who greeted us didn’t offer any sort of warm welcome. Instead, we were met with a cold, distant demeanor. She simply asked, “Table or booth?”—no smile, no friendly interaction, nothing that made us feel like valued customers. After seating us, she walked away without a word, leaving us with a bad first impression.
We waited for at least 10 to 15 minutes at our table, but no server ever approached us. Nobody came to take our drink orders, offer water, or even acknowledge our presence. During this time, we observed multiple servers standing around, appearing to do nothing, while one overworked server was scrambling to handle several tables in the area. The lack of organization and customer service was glaring.
After this long wait and seeing no improvement, we decided to leave. Based on the service we witnessed—or rather, the complete lack thereof—we didn’t feel confident that the rest of our experience would have been any better. Instead of wasting more time, we chose to visit a local barbecue and wing restaurant we know and trust, where the service is always top-notch and the food is consistently excellent.
As a chain that prides itself on being a go-to spot for wings, beer, and sports, Buffalo Wild Wings in Holland fell far short of expectations. Customer service is a critical part of the dining experience, and it was completely absent here. We won’t be returning to this location, and we encourage others to consider supporting local establishments that prioritize great food and exceptional service.
If you’re looking for quality wings and an enjoyable dining experience in Holland, Michigan, there are definitely better options than this Buffalo Wild Wings location. It’s unfortunate, but this was one of the worst experiences we’ve had in a long time when it comes to restaurant service.

We had a waitress that misled us with incorrect information as it was later determined it was her first week on the job. We were told the wings were buy one get one FREE up to the 15pc, which swayed our decision on what we actually ended up ordering. Mind you, we waited for over an hour for our food in a pretty empty restaurant after placing our order. We were also missing a side of fires, which then was corrected with a large plate of fries. Fast forward to receiving a bill that was almost $30 more than anticipated. We ended up getting charged for both wing orders as we were then told the buy one get one free was only for traditional wings. We were also charged for large fries VS the side of fries. Our first attempt to correct the manager told our waitress they would remove the fries..... HA, Nice Try!!!! After asking to speak with the manager and explaining to her what had happened, she indicated it was our waitresses first week (OK, that's great, people make mistakes). Maybe some better management and couching would be in order; however that is not my fault. The Buffalo wings were good but when we tried to get some to go the server said it would take an hour to get them. Server also never came back to see how things were before dropping off the check...... following up from this review. The day after our visit we I Received the notification from my bank regarding the charge from our visit. Turns out The server that gave us the bad service decided to take it upon himself to increase and adjust the tip that I Left him making my total bill higher than what I approved. He honestly should have been lucky that I left him anything based on our experience. I notified the general manager of this location. And he said he was going to refund. The increased tip amount but over the phone did not seem concerned about the situation, I requested a copy of the receipt that I signed. And apparently, that magically disappeared, and he was unable to provide me with it. Although he could see where the tip was adjusted... He tried to make it right by sending some coupons and/or gift certificates to my home. I stated to him that he can do that but I would likely pass it off to a family member.
