I'm surprised by all the glowing reviews to be honest. In my opinion this place is overpriced and overrated. We came here for my daughter's 8th birthday. She brought a friend and I had my 2 boys age 6 and 4 along too. It was a rainy Friday afternoon so I expected it to be busy but hoped they were limiting the number of people; that did not appear to be the case. I wasn't planning paying admission for myself but felt I had to to keep my 4 year old safe from all the teenagers. It cost about $115 for all of us and we stayed 2 hours. That's a lot of money to spend on 2 hours of entertainment in my opinion, especially considering I only paid for the Ultimate level admission for the 2 girls and just did the basic admission for myself and 2 boys.
We waited in line for probably 20 minutes to enter the section that has the rock climbing walls and other climbing attractions that you're harnessed into; was not aware until getting to the entrance that was not included in the Deluxe tickets. There was only one staff person in the whole area responsible for getting harnesses on and off all the kids as well as clipping everyone on and off the ropes. I saw other parents helping their kids so assumed this was allowed. When I was having difficulty figuring it out I asked the staff person how to do it. Instead of explaining it he just gestures to a sign showing the steps. I was still having a hard time. About 10 minutes later another staff member enters the area and kind of chews me out saying that only staff is permitted to do that. I told her the other guy basically told me to look at the sign to do it myself. She responds with a shocked, "really?!" but then doesn't appear to correct him. The place in general seemed very short-staffed.
For reference a season pass (for a 6 month season) to Dutch Village is $33 for adults and $27 for kids. A season pass (also for a 6 month season) to Lewis Family Farm in New Era is $50. A membership to Urban Air is $15/month. Times 6 months is $90 for an experience that is much less enjoyable...
Read moreWe had the best time ever! About an hour drive getting there around 11am had to drag the boys out around 6pm!! The shut down and opening of certain things is NOT as bad as some of these reviews make it seem. Maybe it was the age of my kids but when something closed for a short amount of time, they quickly found the next thing open.
The staff was great! No one was grumpy, or mean! Crystal and Dan(I think) were present ALL day long working on business stuff and still making their rounds keeping everything going smoothly! Multiple times I saw crystal giving staff high fives and praising them throughout the day! I hope the staff is grateful for that because it’s not something that happens very often in the world today! Yes the staff was younger, but they had a lot of energy and engaged with the kids all day long!
The pizza and waffle fries were delicious. Kids loved the dippin dots.
My husband and I took three 8 year old boys. There was plenty for my husband and I to do as well! My body is definitely paying for it today 😂
If i lived closer, I would buy the membership. There are tables with usb ports and I could definitely get a lot of studying done there with my kids being entertained all day long!
I was also in a panic before we went because I purchased tickets and assigned the kids to the parent tickets. I reached out and the very next day I had a voicemail from crystal assuring me that it was fine! Even gave me her cell number if I had any issues!
We did the “all day long” package for like $125, SO VERY worth it! 5 top tier tickets (3 kids and 2 parents) one large pizza, three icees, two pops, and 5 socks! Hello money saver! Not sure how long that deal goes, but do it!!
Zero complaints, minus my body needing to recover from all of the fun! They do have massage chairs throughout which I regret not using....
Read moreThis place is extremely overpriced. My two kids had no interest in any of the climbing/heights related experiences, and we still shelled out over $50 for their ‘deluxe’ pass. I can understand paying more for the climbing type things, but for what you get for the deluxe pass, it shouldn’t cost more than $15. While they do have a very wide array of things to do, it felt way too cramped. There were practically zero spots for parents to sit outside the cafe, and most want to be in a spot they can try and see their kid.
There’s barely any staff around except on the harnessed climbing area. The pro zone had one staff at the entrance, but he wasn’t doing anything at all. He was staring at his phone the whole time. You can imagine my disappointment when my child got hurt and we had to leave early. This was extremely frustrating for me as a parent because I feel like this could have been avoided if the employee was paying any attention and trying to regulate the amount of kids in there or what they were doing (it’s a pretty small space, and there were way too many kids in there).
We were also frustrated with the lack of staff at attractions like the battle beam. There was no one there to help regulate the kids or ensure people were taking turns, so we waited forever and never even had a chance to use it because some bigger kids commandeered it and insisted on letting the winner of the battle keep fighting.
Furthermore, they should really cap the amount of people they allow there at one time. It was wayyyy too crowded. It’s the smallest trampoline type place I’ve been to. I’m surprised so many people were willing to shell out so much money to even be there. My guess is they were also first timers who were underwhelmed with their experience and do not plan...
