ABC Store — Local services in Honolulu

The store associate was very rude and aggressive. I was with my dad at the store while he was paying for his beer. (Keep in mind, I am not underage) Everything was going well until I tried to carry the bag with the beer to help my dad and was planning to consolidate the other bag we had into that one bag. I had just reached for the bag when the associate abruptly snatched the bag away from me mumbling something angrily at me and handed it to my dad. I froze and not understanding such behavior I said “I am sorry, what?” She very rudely and angrily pointing fingers at me said I did not show ID but my dad did and some more mumbling. Now knowing the reason, I completely understood her behavior but could not condone the tone and rudeness of it all. She could have said the same nicely or asked me for an ID. But no she chose to be rude. I told her that she could have said it nicely instead of being rude to which she aggressively said “ No, you should know” and was screaming at me and pointing at the signage. I was not loud or rude at all but she was. I completely understand that she was only doing her duty but there are ways to do your duty without being so aggressive and rude. I walked out not wanting to engage anymore but she was still screaming at someone else who I heard told her that she was indeed being rude. I understand that the policy is they cannot return the charging cords and possibly other items but I bought a charging cord to where it would not charge my phone or any other apple devices. And I do appreciate the lady taking the extra steps trying the charger but it still didn’t work
