I wanted to get a haircut and some highlights,I didn't cut my hair for 2yrs. I had some issues with the previous salon I used to go to. I looked on line and saw Adore Hair and Nails salon. I've seen it at Market City when I go to Foodland but never had services there. I checked out some reviews and their price list. It was reasonable prices and not so expensive. So I called to make an appointment, a girl answered and I told her what I wanted done,she put me on hold and another woman came on the line and I explained what I wanted done.Wash,cut w/long layers,partial highlights (carmel color med-light),blow dry and flat iron. I asked her how much it would cost, she said $120plus tax.That was a really good price she asked me when I wanted it done I said Saturday .Tammi was my stylist.She did a excellent job w/highlights and my haircut,I told Tammi how I wanted my hair cut and styled and she followed what I wanted and always asked me how short to cut and if that was good. She really listened and was very efficient and professional. I really appreciated that she asked me how much I wanted to cut and if that was enough or more inches off.She was very considerate in what I wanted instead of just doing what she felt and not go that extra effort. I love my haircut and the highlights she did. I looked like a different woman walking out of there. Really!!Everyone was super friendly and very accommodating.Alot of people I know didn't even recognize me until they looked again and complimented me if how nice the cut and color was. Read moreThis place did a great job. I treated my finance to get a pedicure with me here since he never gets pedicures. We both got deluxe pedicures. He loved his. Lily was great. Katie did my pedicure and I got regular polish. It turned out amazing. She used a paint brush with nail polish remover to clean up any messy edges. Great cuticle care. They used the “cheese grater” on my fiancé’s calluses and pumice on both of us. They helped me put my flip flops on. I complained that the water wasn’t hot enough and they used a tub to remove the water twice so that they could fill the tub with hotter water. I still didn’t have hot hot water but my fiancé said his was plenty hot.
I was looking for a specific polish color (off white/light pink). Multiple colors I selected they were out of. Katie helped me select a color that was closest to my fingernails. It was frustrating that they were out of a lot of my color choice but ultimately I ended up with a color I love since Katie helped me.

The shop that she was a regular at was sold by the owner, so she has been trying new nail spots here and there. Today, she went to Serene nails for the second time for a mani and pedi. The pedi started out great. However, the tech didn't make an effort to clean under the toe nails or cuticles and went straight into painting them. My girlfriend stated in a soft speaking voice, "Doesn't a pedi include cleaning the nails?" My girlfriend was then engaged aggressively by an employee named Ann, who stated that the girl did clean her nails. Again, my girlfriend gets her nails done regularly, so she is familiar with the procedure. The nail tech didn't clean the cuticles or under the nails, just trimmed and went straight into painting them. When the issue was brought up, my girlfriend was berated and made to feel embarrassed as the employee Ann started yelling at her, embarrassing my gf in front of everyone. My girlfriend had to ask several times for the employee to step back. The entire confrontation was recorded. My girlfriend called me crying due to the negative experience. I feel responsible because I gave her the money to treat herself.
