wow! what a special restaurant! i am sooo glad i found this place. the family that runs it is wonderful and if youâre lucky you will hear the dad playing the okinawan sanshi, a beautiful instrument. this is authentic okinawan food in a really cool atmosphere that reminds me of some of the japanese restaurants i used to go to growing up in LA that are not there anymore. a must for any asian or asian american who appreciates family owned restaurants! the sushi was amazing, such delicious and âsoftâ fish. i would absolutely recommend the okinawan soba - the meat was very tender and flavorful, and as my grandmother used to always tell me, make sure to eat the marrow from the bone. super nutritious! next time i want to try the bitter melon dish and more of their soup offerings! i also appreciated the pricing here; you get good quality for the price! do yourself a favor and check out this...

Once you walk into Sunrise you automatically feel like you entered a home kitchen where you know you'll be served food from the heart and soul.
The restaurant has been around for over 2 decades and the husband and wife owners of the restaurant were so nice and welcoming. They even preformed a song in between the cooking and serving which was such a special treat.
Hands down one of the best hamachi kamas I ever had and the ahi tuna was fresh and delish. This restaurant is definitely a must visit every time we are in Honolulu.
Best to make a reservation or call the restaurant to see if there are any openings if it's...
