TLDR: Great workout.
Minnetonka. A place that summons the comforts of the familiar, juxtaposed with the unexpected, much like CrossFit Minnetonka nestled into the heart of a nondescript strip mall. Here, commerce and fitness collide in an unusual matrimony, like two disparate planets caught in the gravitational pull of each other.
A cavernous space, the gym borrows its ambiance from the quintessential American garage, yet inflated to grand proportions. To the untrained eye, one might see a playground — large balls awaiting their aerial flights against walls, an audience of metal bars longing to be swung upon, and the hum of a dozen or so souls, driven by a shared determination.
My ensemble, decidedly un-CrossFit, consisted of a Hawaiian shirt flanked by the reliable Kirkland Signature shorts. Yet, as the exercises intensified, led by the capable Molly, the aloha spirit of my attire became drenched in a testimony of perspiration. Exercises, foreign to me in name and form, unfurled like a sequence from a fever dream: from V-ups to mysterious wall-ball routines, all danced to the relentless drumbeat of repetition.
After the dance, as I retreated to a local watering hole with friends, the aftermath of my exertions played out in a comical tragedy involving wooden chairs and vanishing varnish. My body, having been through this novel wringer, yearned for more — more carbohydrates, perhaps.
The suggestion to venture here was courtesy of Laura, fiancee to one of my best comrades. Her recommendation, though unexpected, proved invaluable as I navigated the space. But no establishment is without its underbelly, and here it was the restroom: a grim reminder of a modest suburban home, exuding a vibe that bordered on the bohemian.
Cubbies. Yes, there were cubbies. A testament to the community that frequents this space, staking their little claim in this world of iron and sweat. The session, was punctuated with restful interludes, the cool kiss of the drinking fountain, and the ever-present garage ambiance — no AC, just a symphony of fans battling against the Minnesota heat.
In sum, CrossFit Minnetonka was a trip down a rabbit hole into a world where jungle gyms met garages. A place where every grunt, every drop of sweat, and every strained muscle told tales of battles fought and victories earned in this cathedral...
Read moreLooking at the reviews that go back to seven years and all of the reviewers gave 5 stars . Here is a clue, I used to work at a spa and they encourage staff to go online to send a positive reviews ! VERY BUSINESS have at least a couple bad reviews because it’s not for everyone and shows that the business needs growth and it’s not perfect!
Now here is the 🫖, I’m gym junkie and love to check out different gym in the Twin Cities. So I saw the ad on instagram, sign up for tour and kept getting the stupid automated reminders of our appointment ! THE MORNING OF APPOINTMENT I ASK FOR THE ADDRESS !! I got there and no one was there !! Than I got a text saying from NICK says he didn’t realized it was TODAY and is out of town! What to reschedule … NO I WANT REIMBURSEMENT OF MY GAS because you knew I was coming !! 🥚🥚🥚’s aren’t cheap so cough up gas money … by the way, gym facilitates usually have staff schedule at 9:00 in the morning!! The door was unlocked and the room was pitch dark.. no one was there except .. I think it was a member.
Positive note: it look like a nice CrossFit space but this gym look like they don’t care about potential members since he LOVE wasting potential members time

Read more1 year into being a member of CrossFit Minnetonka and I can truly say that my outlook on life has expanded exponentially. I have been shown what my body is capable of in regards of strength and mobility. I have learned that it is not the amount of weight you can lift or the gymnastic movements attempted that is cheered on by the coaches or the friends you made from going to classes but the fact you are there and you are pushing yourself to be the best version of yourself.
First class 1 year ago: Work out of the day was barbell cleans, burpee's and thrusters. I was nervous about my first workout but the coach was right there guiding me as if it was a personal training class. I knew I found something special when there was 1 minute left to the time cap and the biggest, strongest looking dude I've ever seen was on the floor cheering the loudest making me feel like I was biggest, strongest dude in the gym that day (thanks A.P., I'll never...
