I chose this place based on the reviews so I wanted to share my experience here. My son wanted to try a new hairstyle which is a body wave since he had let his hair grow out for a couple months. When we showed up we showed the picture to the lady of how he wanted it and she pointed to another person in the salon with a very curly style of perm and asked if he wanted that instead. We said no we want the body wave and she okay thats fine she can do it. They wouldnt let me stay there while they worked and my son is only 13 and so not good at advocating for himself, he said he kept pointing to the picture but the lady went ahead and did the curly style of perm we specifically stated we did not want to do. They offered to reverse it after it was clear nobody was happy but he wasn't having any of that place anymore, luckily we were able to reverse it at home. I give 2 stars because the place is nice and everyone is friendly but I feel like this lady just wanted to do what she wanted to do (and upsell me perm products) versus giving my son what he wanted which caused him a lot of stress you can imagine a middle schooler with a bad perm they...

Let me start by saying I was very nervous when I started looking for a new hairstylist when I moved to Houston. Luckily I found 901 Salon & Boutique and had such a great experience! Lily started off my session with a thorough shampoo and conditioning before my cut. She was very pleasant and professional. My haircut and style was done by Steve, who did wonders with my hair. My hair is thin, frizzy and course and I have tons of baby hairs so I was nervous when he started cutting my hair. Steve is so experienced and left my hair looking more amazing than any stylist I've ever been to before. He took his time while cutting my hair and would even pause to give me tips on how to style it and make it more manageable. Overall, I had an amazing experience and I left feeling very happy with my haircut (especially for the price!). I've found my new stylist in Houston and I highly recommend them to anyone...

Woman was very nice while in the salon. I had a question later about the perm I had received from her the next asking for advice on what to do. I tried calling multiple times only to be closed on, when I finally spoke to her and she answered her cell number she closed on me. I don’t know why. I felt very disrespected after this. I would not go to her again not because I don’t like the quality of the perm but because she blocked my personal cell number so I can’t call to ask questions after the perm. It just broke my heart to know that she had done something to my hair that would make it different for the next 6 months and she wouldn’t let me ask for...
