Update…
In the last three weeks I have had three amazing massages at Salathai. The therapists were Jenny, Mimi and Annie. Each therapist’s style is different, but most importantly they each give you the benefit of many years experience gained at fine spas around the world and they deliver an amazing massage experience from their hear.
Jenny is a delight to have a massage with. I love to chat while getting a massage and Jenny is a joy to talk with. A great caring person with a fabulous sense of humor, Jenny will make every muscle in your body resign to total relaxation. She can deliver strong focused pressure for deep muscle issues and put you to sleep with her soft to firm strokes. Jenny has put me to sleep and when I awaken every muscle is knot free and relaxed.
Mimi is a great therapist that can deliver an incredibly strong massage and smooth things out with comforting, firm strokes. She is a master at traditional Thai massage, where she can stretch every joint in your body stress free. I had a 2 hour thai style massage with Mimi and I could feel the blood flowing in my veins…honestly the energy was moving like a freight train through my body. Mimi can be strong enough for any person demanding a strong massage and she can put you to sleep with gentle, smooth strokes.
Bright eyed Annie, who manages the shop, is a highly experienced therapist that can transform aches and pains into a wonderful state of relief. Don’t let her small size fool you. Annie gives an amazing massage that relieves those aches and pains while bringing you to a restful state. She is marvelous and a delight to talk to. One of the great things about Annie is her positive energy. Whether you have a brief 5 minute chat on arrival or a three hour massage and chat you’ll benefit from this amazing energy.
Yaya is a bundle of sweetness and a gifted therapist. I’ve had massage with her for 7 years and she always puts a smile on my face from our chat and brings me to a state of total relaxation. Yaya has a sensitive touch that is very helpful to me as someone with very serious health challenges. She is excellent at making the pains of “the big C” fade with very gentle touch. I’m So thankful for her help and the absolute joyful energy I get from her.
So needless to say I highly recommend each of these ladies that make Sala Thai Massage a great place to transform a stressed body and mind or any physical pains you may have. Each is wonderfully done able to help you. As this nearly 71 year old can attest, my weekly 3 hour massages with them get me through the rest of each week for the better. Thank you ladies...
Read moreThe first time I went was great! The second time was the worst massage I’ve ever had - I had an incredibly stressful week, and she asked me what kind of pressure I wanted. I said medium because I really needed to relax; however she was still going very deep, so deep she kept huriting me. I have had quite a few Thai combo massages at this point and none of them ever felt like that. I felt so anxious the entire time because she kept hurting me, and I kept asking her for less pressure, and she was not listening. Everytime I asked for less pressure, she would just stop what she was doing and go somewhere else but increased her pressure. I finally decided to leave the massage early. It was a 60 min massagesnd I left 25 minutes early because it was that painful (and I have a very high pain tolerance mind you). I also couldn’t continue because I wanted a relaxing massage and was anxious the entire time and in pain. I ended up booking another massage for the same day somewhere else and was exactly what I needed and realized the extend of the damage caused by this therapist, she completely messed up my back which was just fine beforehand. One thing I find saddening is that the people at the front knowing that I left the massage early, didn’t ask me how it went, which I found disturbing; they could have asked if there was anything they could do to improve or anything to make up for my bad experience. Unfortunately, I booked via ClassPass, so at that point, I’ve already paid and left. Considering I been there before I just definitely would give caution or once you find someone that you like make sure you book with that same person. The therapist who worked on me never...
Read moreI had to use up some ClassPass credits at the end of this month given I became an actual member at a pilates studio and wasn't using ClassPass as much. I debated between using my extra credits to get my nails done or a massage and ultimately chose a massage here at Sala Thai, what a great decision! I was planning to downgrade my ClassPass monthly credits, but after this massage experience, I may keep it at the current level.
Wendy is a phenomenal masseuse. She started by walking up and down my body before the full body massage. I asked her to focus on my back and shoulders and she definitely spent a lot of time there which was very much appreciated. My shoulders were so tight and I had so many knots in my back that she helped relieve. She used just the right amount of pressure where it was so relaxing, and at times almost painful, but in a good way. The heated massage bed was so cozy. I felt amazing! This was the absolute best hour of...
