I would not shop at this Gulfgate location of Best Buy and several other locations. While looking around to shop, several employees approached me to see if I needed help, but they were very harassing. I could see several employees staring, just constantly looking at me. One of the employees kept being rude and asked me if I needed help with an impolite tone. He asked me several times in a row. My response was that I left, and it was apparent that loss prevention personnel had him do this or the store manager just so I could leave. It made me feel discriminated against and discourteous on their staff's part. This was the third time I have seen Best Buy employees do this to me. What upset me is that I was a good patron of this store over the years. I have bought cell phones, TVs, games, and other electronics from here before. Why the store has become unyielding in allowing customers time to look around is not understandable. From the time I entered the store, it took only eight minutes for them to start harassing me if I needed help. It was a blatant form of distrust, and I suspect the employees enjoyed it, especially the one working in the electronics area who was deliberately rude to me. For one, customers should be allowed ample time to look around, and second, customers bring in the profit; however, it is apparent that Best Buy personnel have forgotten this notion.
Several of these employees who treated me with disrespect need to be reprimanded. As a veteran of our United States, I feel compelled to say that being treated like this only fueled my determination to write this review. Moreover, the Best Buy corporate office must address this issue and provide comprehensive training for its employees in ethics and proper customer service. It is evident that their employees are in dire need of a lesson in the fundamental principles of running a store with respect for...
Read moreUpdate: 1/15/22 Bought a carpet cleaner. Manager Juan did a great job in helping me what I was looking for. Great service and I will continue to come here. 1/18/2021 I recently order a LG washer & Dryer. I was informed by employee that it was going to be delivered on a specific date and installed. I was worried about the scheduling and arrival not being on time but to my surprise they kept there promise. Merchandise arrived in quality working conditions with no issues. Its already been about a month and both machines are dong its job right. Delivery and installing service was good no complaints. Everyone that participated did a good job at Best Buy. This bumps them up to 4 stars instead of being 2. I would come back for business or recommend people to this location. Please Follow, Like and Share for more true ratingis: #JaysTrueRatings
Date: Unknown - First Experience Story Return Service dept: I was misinformed about my return merchandise and how I was able to get a new one from warehouse. Basically, what it boils down to is that they didn't carry the merchandise anymore but the person that was taken care of me wanted to also charge me extra for warranty. They gave me the run arounds and they ended up telling that apologies because she is a new employee. "Train your...
Read moreHad a curbside order but decided to get down and purchase another item as well as pick up my online order. Waited 15 minutes in the online pick up order line because the employee was allowing a customer to use their landline phone to resolve whatever issue they were having, instead of having them step aside and resolve their issue. Finally I just got out of line and went to regular check out, to purchase my item and ask for that cashier to get my online order. For some reason it didn’t translate that the issue is a customer is holding up the line for over 15 minutes using the phone, and they start paging for an employee to come to the counter WHERE THERE ALREADY WAS AN EMPLOYEE. Instead of just going to get my online order after ringing up my in store purchase they tried to talk me into getting back into the pickup line WHERE I COULD STILL SEE THE CUSTOMER ON THEIR LANDLINE talking about “well the line should start moving soon.” Finally I just got fed up and went to sit in my car and use the curbside code emailed to me. What a horrible example of “that’s not my job/department”. It’s not like they’re short staffed either. Had about 5 guys standing around at the desk front, somebody could have just gotten me the online order and sent...
