THIS BAD REVIEW IS ALL ABOUT HIS RECEPTIONIST.... I was advised to see a Cardiologist within 48 hours after being seen in the ER for Chest Pain last week. I started calling different doctors but it was too hard to get an appointment with a Cardiologist who is participating with my health insurance. I found Dr Feng's name in my insurance list and also saw that he has good reviews so I called and made an appointment. I was happy to get an appointment from his office for today since they are the ones who was able to give the earliest among other doctor's office whom I called last week. My appointment was for 1:30 today and I came in their office 15 minutes early since I am a new patient. His receptionist named Nicole told me to have a seat after checking in and she said she will call me without asking me if I am a new patient or what. I patiently waited. I saw that she was interrupted by few patients, talked to her and left. She kept on picking up the phone and tried to be nice and offered help to the callers. I stood up at 2:00 pm just to let her know that I have been waiting for her to call me and to make sure that she hasn't forgotten about me. I also told her that I was just using my lunch time to see the doctor. She made an excuse that there are two people who were out and she's the only one working in there. I went back to my seat and waited again but she kept on picking up the phone until I got frustrated and could not hold it anymore. I stood up and asked her to just cancel my appointment. She asked me if I just want to reschedule or cancel it. I told her to just cancel it because it is ridiculous to be waiting there and be ignored wherein I am using my lunch and some PTO hours. I waited for an hour already and yet she did not even bother to ask me if I am a new patient or not so I could fill up a form but .... nothing! I really wanted to see Dr Feng because of the reviews that I read from others that he cares for his patient but if he will have incompetent workers like her, I'm pretty sure he will get lots of bad reviews...
Read moreI love this Dr Feng, I have known him since my open heart surgery. I go for my check ups and instead of a pacemaker Dr Feng tried a different approach using what they call it External Countrtpulsation (ECT) Therapy. The treatment goal is to Decrease symptoms of Angina, shortness of breath and fatigue. Increase energy and stamina Increase exercise tolerance Improve quality of life. The sessions consist of35 one hour given over the course of 7 weeks I lie their on a treatment bed with a series of cuffs(similar to NO cuffs) wrapped around my calves, thighs a d buttocks. Three electrodes are placed on my chest to obtain my hearts rhythm. The cuffs inflate and deflate in time of my hearts rhythm. The cuffs inflation occurs after each heartbeat providing a squeeze to the lower extremities. Rapid deflation occurs before the next heartbeat Blood pressure changes are monitored by a sensor placed in the fubfer. The technician remains close by the patient during treatments as to facilitate the effectiveness of the therapy to ensure safety and comfort. Vital signs are taken before and after treatment. Side effects are minimal and may include muscle soreness and fatigue in the first week I didn't get any headaches or dizziness. I was told 1/3 of patients get operation ( this is only because of the pants you wear you must wear clothes tbat are comfortable. Therapy rests can last 2 -5 years some patients require a repast of therapy after 1 year. I would definitely recommend this. Most people will feel the difference after 12-15 treatment, they are not painful Thank you Dr Feng you have helped me so much. See...
Read moreThis is about the back office staff, not the doctor. And this is an alert to elderly people who are not good at English communication with the staff. You will be ripped off if you don't pay attention to their charges. The staff charged us in advance for the deductible portion from our insurance plan but when we received the explanation of benefits, we found out that our amount due to their office is only 1/3 of what they charged us !!! Imagine how much you are overcharged if you don't look at the letter from your insurance carrier? And if you don't call them and request for a refund, your money is GONE !!! Worse, my insurance carrier and I tried to call them several times to resolve the overcharge issue, the receptionist just kept transferring our calls to the voicemail. I called the office several times and ended up with the same issue - to the voicemail. Be patient since it is YOUR money, I kept calling and insisted talking to someone who can resolve the issue and finally I got one, she told me to have a look and work with the insurance carrier and get back to me in 2 weeks ! I will be very patient to wait to get back my money as we are talking about hundreds of dollars !!! In Sum: Pay attention to what they charge you and ask for the reason, better to check with your insurance carrier before making any payment. If it happens after the fact, you then need to check with the explanation of benefits from the insurance carrier to compare with their charges. I feel so sorry for the elderly who get ripped off due to their language barrier as they can't ask or complain or request the...
