This place is HUGE and has just about anything and everything you could want. Sushi and BBQ place located inside, their produce and meat/seafood areas are larger than most other supermarkets themselves, and the bakery has so many items that even the most decisive people will struggle to pick what they want. The meat counter offers a huge selection of seafood (always extremely fresh) and meat (duh), including their in house dry aged beef if that's your thing. The deli counter has more options than you can imagine, including their in house made deli meats, which are all natural. Bakery also offers a GREAT selection of artisan breads. If you like beer and/or wine, they carry a tremendous amount of local (Texas) craft beer and many wines, plus have tastings available most days. The staff in the wine area are super knowledgeable, so if you need help, just ask. As for other items, this HEB has a whole area devoted to natural healthcare products (goat milk soaps, castille soaps, natural deodorants, natural remedies, tons of bath bombs, etc.). They also have HEB made bulk beef jerky, bulk wild honey, and even a Kombucha bar. They also carry hundreds of other bulk items, from nuts to spices. This store has anything and everything you need, including ultra friendly and helpful staff! UPDATE 3/1/2020 I stand by most of what I said above, but deducted two stars based off the decline in customer service, bakery quality, and the flotilla of staff fulfilling online orders. Since the recent closing of the Randall's across the street, it seems like HEB has noticed the lessening of competition and has devoted less of an effort to customer service, as much of the staff doesn't seem to be as friendly or helpful as in times past. The bakery hasn't been producing nearly the quality that it used to, especially in regards to breads. Prices have increased as well, and with the option to place grocery orders online, in-store shoppers are constantly having to maneuver through packed isles of online order fulfillment carts, making shopping here quite a hassle. HEB is generally a wonderful grocery store chain with great products, but this particular location has fallen in quality a bit, and I hope they work to change back to their...

Cauliflower moldy almost EVERY week.
Fresh berries are 50/50. Half the time, they have mold.
We stopped buying Broccoli entirely. It's in such poor condition so often. Almost always.
Papayas are occasionally rotten on some sides.
Fruit and tomatoes are damaged, not often, but often enough.
This week and last week, Miyokos Butter (which we've bought for years) has mold growing on it, inside the packaging. It's probably a bad batch.
Bought Greek Olives. The jar lid had been opened already.
We call when we get inedible, damaged, and moldy FOOD.
We call when we're given food with a past due date.
Now they let us know our account is "on 'audit'."
Dear HEB, if you'd audit your food you pack for people to pick up, you would not need to "audit" your customers who spend $1,000 a month in your store.
Train people to look at date stamps before packing them for delivery and curbside pickup
Train people to look at fruit quality before packing them for delivery and curbside pickup.
Sidebar: If you eat healthy and organic, you'll find your food is rare at HEB.
HEB stopped carrying organic flour tortillas.
HEB stopped carrying organic corn tortillas.
HEB stopped carrying organic ice cream of any kind.
HEB is often inconsistent in carrying organic foods in other areas. We used to buy an organic feta cheese substitute. Gone. Half the time, organic substitute cheeses like moo choo are not in stock.
Organic coffees are few.
If you prefer non GMO, non hormone added, organic, high-quality foods for your family to protect your health, HEB is not the best place to shop.
If you eat vegetables and fruit, it's best to go inside the store, examine each item, and not use curbside or...
Read moreI normally love this particular HEB but this trip was a total bust. I have an injured ankle so walking isn't the easiest right now. I had half a cart of stuff including a couple of reusable bags that I was purchasing. I went to the register and said hi to the cashier who pretty much ignored me. She asked if I wanted to use the bags I had purchased and I said sure. Well, she literally put almost everything in one bag. She got to a bag of durritos I had gotten from the produce section. They are little orange round things that puff up in the microwave and are a Mexican Wheat snack. Well, I didn't have the PLU number or whatever it's called. She was trying to look them up but couldn't find them. Well instead of calling on the radio or going herself, she made me go halfway across the store to get the number so she could ring them up. As previously mentioned, it's not exactly easy for me to be walking, so I hobbled my way across the store trying to hurry so the people behind me weren't waiting on me. I was ticked.
Then, when she was finished ringing me up, she hands me my receipt without even looking at me and leaves my bag filled to the brim with groceries, in the center of the counter so I have to reach through the plastic barrier and heft it over the card reader and she just lets me do it without even offering to assist. It was like I was no longer there. I was ticked. I should've said something but I was tired and had a babysitter waiting on me so I let it go.
Like I said, normally I love this location, it's clean, there's a lot of selection and the service is usually great but this trip was definitely...
