I wanted to come back to add that I had the owner personally contact me and apologize. They truly care about their guests to a point to make things right. I felt really valued and will continue to go back and brag about this place. That's how great of a call I had from the owner
I went with a friend and we each ordered our food separately, so I didn't know what she ordered. They bring out her drink first and it looked like the kind I get, but again I had no idea if she got the same thing as me, so I didn't say anything. Then someone else brings out her actual drink, the other had been mine and she already had drank out of it. My friend apologized and I quickly told her it wasn't her fault at all and that she didn't know what their drinks looked like since it was her first time. I went up to the front and said "Hey I'm so sorry but my drink was actually passed out to her and she already drank out of it, could I please get a new one?" All three workers looked at me like I was crazy and inconveniencing them. One girl said "Could we just change out the straw for you?" And I replied "Would you like to drink out of something someone else drank out of?" I also didn't say this with attitude, but with shock that someone would even suggest that. She took the drink back to fix it and the other worker said "It was just a suggestion." And I said with a bit of shock and I admit sass this time "It wasn't a good one." They made the drink again and all was well. The encounter made me feel like I was crazy and being too much.
I knew I had to order a to go order after my friend and I had eaten, and I had a bad feeling that after that encounter things might go wrong again. And they did.
Again, I've been here many times. Ordered inside and to go, and have never encountered these issues. I ordered the to go order and was handed a number plack, just like I had been for my dine in order. So, sat down and waited for them to bring it to me. Because in the past I have stood waiting and I have been told that I could sit down and that they would bring it to me. Which makes sense when you are handed a number plack. 30 minutes had gone by and my to go order still hadn't come out, and both people who were cooks walked out of the area to sit down. So I politely had mentioned I was still waiting on my order. Well the girl who had suggested the new straw for the drink shot back at me "I called your number lots of times, it's over there (pointing at the edge of the counter)". Before I continue, I need to mention that all of the staff were sitting down eating or chit chatting.... No one was manning the front counter. Also, I have worked on food service and I have searched a whole dining room for people to make sure they got there food, I was shocked they didn't come find my number like they always had. So I said "I never heard a number called" and she repeated what she had said before. At this point I was embarrassed and honestly shocked and said "Why even give out number placks if you're not bringing it to my table?" And they all started to say stuff and I just said "I've been here over ten times and have never been treated this way before". My friend and I left, and you'd think this is the end... Right? Wrong.
During our time there I noticed one of the workers going over to a table being friendly and chatting with someone multiple times. So I assumed they knew each other. Well this person from that table followed my friend and I outside to the parking lot and started berating me saying I sure was bold to yell at service workers like that. I never yelled, the place is small, there is music playing, it sounds loud above a whisper (which is also why it was weird that my friend and I didn't hear a number called for the order). And then said "Ma'am please walk away, leave us alone. You weren't part of what happened." There was no point telling her I didn't yell or what I went through earlier if she was bold enough to come harass me in the parking lot. She repeated that I was bold to yell, and that I didn't need...
Read moreI loved this place. I have tried to contact them about the issues I encountered to no avail. I emailed them at feedback@cococrepes.com left a review and tried calling several times. I tried to reach out before I left this here and give them a chance to make it right. I was helping a fellow business out and placed an order for pickup as I have health issues and needed sustenance. I showed up only to be told my order wasn’t ready and basically I’d have to wait for a refund. I placed my order way before they had any customers and waited then was told they will not refund me as part of my order was ready and they were busy. I stood there forever and I did not have that time to waste. I’m out 30 bucks for a drink and sandwich…. The lady who forgot to make my drink moved my food with haste and I was treated as a nuisance because they were busy. It’s funny how I was dressed in uniform and was treated differently. I would normally come by dressed all fancy and take my food to go but because I was on a time crunch I placed it for pickup. I loved the customer service aside from the new hire and the manager after the way I was treated. At least that’s the story the lady told me she was a manager and the new hire was the one who forgot my drink…..love the idea and atmosphere but they seem to have issues with customer service and seem to only be worried about money. It’s all about execution and as you have a customer standing there waiting on an order that was ready 30 plus mintues ago you should not be making drinks of people as they walk in when you are behind and the customer waiting on her to go food is standing there in the way of incoming new customers, it was very awkward standing there and shaking because of low blood sugar and sweating and people are coming in and are also waiting on food.I even tipped as I always do because I myself have managed several restaurants but due to my health I am no longer able to do so. I understand what it takes to be successful and when you don’t take care of an easy online order and then blame the customer and refuse a refund because it’s busy it really makes it hard for me to encourage others to attend this establishment. I was kind and because of that and my uniform I feel as if I was discriminated against. I have NEVER had an issue being served coming in dressed all fancy. The rainbow outside is misleading as I didn’t feel like I was also included. Kindness goes a long way. You never know anyone’s story. This used to be a safe place. Now every day that I drive by it I’m riddled with...
Read moreBeen to this location many times. The food is good, have tried the “create your own”savory crepes, as well as their sweet crepes, along with their lattes, and lemonade before.
The crepes are usually well made, fresh, with good presentation. I do want to note, I did get an egg shell in my savory crepes once, but so far it hasn’t happened again. The sweet crepes are also fresh and taste great, the ingredients used are all added generously which is good. The lattes are good eight out of ten times. Usually prepared well, sometimes the syrup isn’t added though. The lemonades are too sweet imo.
The service and atmosphere is a hit or miss. Usually servers are very sweet and friendly, helpful, and create a welcoming environment, while also actively maintaining the cleanliness of the environment. Some other times, welcoming atmosphere isn’t present, tables will be filled with dirty dishes, trash, and crumbs and nothing is wiped down between customers.
They have a big space, plenty of seating which is nice, and free WiFi. The login is to their wifi network is “cocokingwood” . Good space to wfh or study. It usually extremely cold inside though, almost freezing lol, and it takes away from creating a comfortable and pleasant experience since you’re shivering the entire time. Which is funny because their ice cream always seems to be melted when you look in the freezer (see below, photos attached). Recommend bringing a warm jacket.
They are halal certified for their entire menu I believe, which is great since there’s not many locations that offer that around this specific part of town. Coco’s is kid friendly and wheelchair accessible.
Overall, recommend checking out the crepes here. They have a lot of good...
