Cupfusion Cupcakery — Restaurant in Houston

I'd like to start by saying the owner has created a beautiful cupcake boutique. It's very instagramable. I can tell a lot of love, time, and hard work was poured into this business. As a woman, I always want to support other women business owners. But, I also feel there is some work that needs to be done on customer service.

As a customer who recently visited this local cupcake business, I feel compelled to share my experience with others. While the cupcakes themselves were okay, unfortunately, the customer service left a lot to be desired. We were also disappointed to learn that, on a Saturday night, they were already sold out of the boozy cupcakes.

Upon entering the store, I was told I wasn't allowed to video/take photos until I made a purchase. Which is fine-- that is the reason I was there. Though, I have to say I really don't understand this rule. Any free advertising (like pictures or videos) for your business is good. It wasn't just that this was said, but how it was said, and it was the first thing said to me. Having never been here before that was not how I expected this visit to go. There were other customers in the building -- and at one point they were given rules on how to use the props. Again, it was delivery, not so much the rules themselves.

As someone who values good customer service, I was disappointed with my experience at this cupcake business. My friends and I felt a little uncomfortable. I really wanted to love this place, too. I hope that in the future, this business will make efforts to improve their customer service and create a more positive experience for...

After seeing all the ig post this was definitely a spot i wanted to come visit. Location:white oak Price: average Parking: limited (@3 spots if 30 min each and street parking) Seating: indoor and a bit of outdoor Price: average Decor: super cute, plenty of cute walls with many options for pictures Clean:place is kept very clean Taste: I went for red velvet cupcake with baileys alcohol. The serving of the alcohol is perfect. The cupcake was moist and yummy making the baileys a great a kick. We also order a side of alcohol and definitely went along with cupcake. Service: was definitely not the best. We arrived at 1:08, the hours state they open at 1, however we knocked and lady unlocked and rudely said she was not opening until 1:30 because she was running behind on pick up orders. Decided to give the doubt and made time until 1:30. Once she open maybe about 3-5 people went in before I. Looked like she had about 6 of each cupcake. To where I asked if there was more available and her response was no only what is showing. I was disappointed as the Bacardi had finished and store had just opened. Never the less I'm already here so I must try something. The tray that had the red velvet also had other cupcakes like cookies and cream. When I was asking questions she said to read the sign, although the sign was not specific to what cupcakes was what. When we look for cool places in Houston to visit the first place we check is the google reviews. We saw this place on a whim and decided to walk over, therefore we couldn’t do our research. However, after leaving there I went to check the reviews and not to my surprise several reviews shared the same experience with the owner/ person behind the counter being rude. We never heard of this place so I was thrilled to come into such a cute place and the first thing I do is pull out my phone and the lady said no photos without paying. I asked her to please repeat herself because I was shock someone would speak to me that way. Okay, started in a rude way and caught me off guard but we were having a great date night so I definitely was not going to let this lady ruin my night. Basically we will never go back because unfortunately, we did not receive that welcoming feeling and secondly I can’t believe we paid 8 bucks for such a small basic cupcake. The icing is extremely sweet and the cake was very dense. Nonetheless, I do wish this business the very best because the concept is great, but I would kindly suggest customer service development. The place is so cute, but the attitude doesn’t match. Treat people with kindness. It shouldn’t be that many bad reviews on how people are treated in your place...
