I love mat pilates, so decided to try reformer since I couldn't find any decent mat classes nearby. I have started with First Class (20$) and liked so I sign up for Two Weeks UNLIMITED (75$) to try different classes and instructors. After attending every day for two weeks I decided to purchase Class Pass subscription and attend regularly. I still prefer mat pilates, and hope to find good classes for it in the future. Pros: ++ Location: there are not many pilates/fitness studios in Montrose area and this one is just 5 mins walk from my apartment complex which allows me to be there often with no hustle ++ Energetic, fitness knowledgeable, friendly instructors, routines changing quite often ++ Classes as early as 5.30 am and as late as 7.30 pm ++ Really good quality reformers and nice studio space
Cons: -- Schedule could use more core and stretch classes -- Receptionist signing people in would be helpful â this way instructor could spend time with new joiners explaining the machine and class flow instead of doing that in a rush, after the class starts after they sign everyone in -- I wish we would focus more on technique and correct breathing during all classes â right now itâs a hit or miss⌠pilates is very powerful when done right, but it requires continued emphasis on berating, pelvic and rib cage, head and neck placement during each movement to build that abdominal strength without killing your neck and lower back -- It might be a bit overwhelming for new joiners to "survive" the first class, even for myself, despite experience with mat pilates it was hard to get used to machine, terminology and frequent position changes - an intro video in first time section of the website would be very,...

Iâll be turning 60 years old this summer and really wanted to bring in the new decade as healthy and fit as I can be. A good friend of mine told me about Method Pilates and how much she liked it. At first I was reluctant because I always thought Pilates was for women, which I now know is not true. I decided to give it a try, using the two week unlimited classes option. After just a few classes I knew I would want to continue passed the trial. I decided to do the unlimited month-to-month.
Each of the instructors have been been amazing. Itâs very obvious that they donât just teach Pilates, they DO Pilates. Theyâve been so very kind and helpful for me to understand how the reformer works and to use it without getting hurt. It truly is all about âthe methodâ used on the reformer. Each class is different so you never know what to expect. I can already tell that my entire body is getting stronger. I also have noticed my standing balance has improved significantly. When I first started I was needing a pole to assist while doing the lunges to not. Thankfully now Iâm able to do it on my own strength.

I purchased the unlimited monthly package after completing 2 classes because I knew I had to continue coming here right from the start. The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable, supportive, and always bring great energy to each class. Special shout-outs to Sherilyn who makes sure I can't walk out of class and keeps me coming back for more, Beja who remembered my name after my first class with her and pushes everyone to their fullest potential with her shout-outs, and Jenna who makes a savage lunge not seem so savage with how sweet and encouraging she is.
