If I had six stars I would give it to Monarch. We worked with them for several years throughout our journey to adoption.
They provided or facilitated all the mandatory training and due diligence required for us to be licensed foster carers, the necessary first step in the foster-to-adopt journey.
They then managed our case from identification of an incredible child to foster placement and, eventually, adoption. They were magnificent all the way, very supportive, and definitely on our side.
Dr Jackson, the proprietor, was always available to meet with us and quickly resolved any issues that might have challenged her staff, and always did so enthusiastically and cheerfully, with the widest smile you ever saw.
Jazmin Orozco, who was our case manager, was one of the most patient people you ever met and held our hands right through, never losing patience, always available to clarify matters or intervene on our behalf to get things done.
Justine Joseph who coordinated a lot of our training was similarly sublime.
We cannot speak well enough of them and everybody else at Monarch whom we worked with. If we have to adopt again, it will definitely be with Monarch. We feel privileged to have become part of the...
Read moreWe became licensed with Monarch nearly a year ago and though we were initially thankful we could do the classes all online and loved the initial worker (Brittany). After completing everything, it was a joke. We got passed onto another "case worker" and it went down-hill from there. We had at the time 2 fosters, 1 of which aged out and wanted to extend and we were told after finishing all of the licensing process they were not really set up for extended foster. We were having major issues with CPS and providing counseling and so on and all the promises we were told Monarch would assist or be able to do what CPS can't, was sadly another complete sham. Can't remember how many times were told things were being done as a formality and basically once we became licensed, CPS would/still points fingers saying licensing agency should do that and of course, Monarch says they don't/can't help and directs us to CPS. We've been waiting months still and the last 2 people we had spoken to with Monarch were rude as hell on the phone. Just know once you become licensed, the nice talk and help goes out the window. Hard to compare anyone with how bad CPS is, but these folks have won a solid second...
Read moreThis also happened to me. They are not transparent with your case or file and totally worst adoption placement experience. Still haven't heard from them as to the legal reasons why CPS took the child and is blocking all communication with the only person that cares for the well-being of the child, nor have I been given any legal forms stating reasons why CPS terminated adoptive placement. This agency does not provide after placement adoption support. A better description for this agency would be a place that gives you resources that you can call yourself. They tell you where to go to get post adoption help and you pretty much have to spend lots and lots of time on phone calls making sure the resource they provided take the State Medicaid insurance. They ignore emails requesting assistance on crisis with adoptive child until you have completely exhausted yourself and failed. Truly regretting this experience. If you want to have an adoption experience that will be one that ends with your forever family in success, please look at other reputable agencies Best wishes to you in...
