On the Park Toy and Candy Store — Local services in Houston

My family will not be returning to this establishment due to an incident that occurred on a significant day for our family—my daughter's birthday. During this occasion, a staff member exhibited disrespectful behavior towards my daughter, which is simply intolerable. Furthermore, this same staff member made an inappropriate comment to my wife, suggesting that the item was too expensive. This remark not only undermined our experience but also left my wife feeling unjustly criticized and disheartened. Such behavior is completely unacceptable in any customer service environment, especially on a day that should have been filled with joy and celebration. We believe that every customer deserves to be treated with respect and kindness, and this incident has clearly fallen short of those standards. As a direct consequence of this experience, we have made the decision not to provide any financial support to your establishment moving forward. Additionally, we feel it is necessary to bring this matter to the attention of the city authorities, as we believe it is important to address issues of disrespect and poor service in our community. We hope that by doing so, we can help prevent similar experiences for other families...

Yesterday, as I walked through the doors, it was like walking into a magical place. It is not unlike the quaint specialty stores we only see on Hallmark movies, and honestly took a few minutes to focus because the well-organized merchandise is neatly arranged from floor to almost ceiling. @ ToysandCandyonthePark is a delight to this grandmother’s senses! It is filled with books, educational toys, arts and crafts, STEM, Magna-Tiles, games, unique puzzles for children and adults, a small collection of curated stuff animals, candy to eat, candy to gift, dolls, kites, and so much more! If there are children in your life, this place will be the perfect solution for finding wonderful gifts. It was well worth the trip from The Woodlands to shop here!!! [Side note: The lower ratings seem to dwell on "nobody spoke to me because.......". I go into plenty of stores that do not have "greeters" at the door. (ie: Hallmark, Kirklands, etc) Don't let those reviews influence you because they are not worthy of the space they are...

Went in for the first time today with my son. Nice place and lots of neat things. However was very disappointed the amount of employees there and no one came by to check if I needed assistance or not. After making my selections I proceeded to the check out to wait in line with 1 register open and 4 employees behind the counter. Patiently waiting for my turn, another customer then walks up and was asked if the were ready to check out and opened another register to check her out while I continued to wait patiently in line. ☹️This was not okay with me and I put my things back and left the store. Obviously my business was not welcomed. Very DISAPPOINTED! What has happened to getting GREAT customer service nowadays. I work too hard for my money and family to receive poor customer service like this .
