The first time I came here, I had no intention of going any deeper into 40K beyond lore and video games. 2 months and 4-5 visits later, I’m painting my 4th miniature (I just HAD to go Thousand Sons), reading 3 different books and watching and learning tabletop games. The credit for this goes to Max, who genuinely welcomed me to the hobby, never pushed me into anything and yet was always there with helpful advice and insight. 40K can be extremely intimidating for newcomers and casuals like me, but his knowledge and demeanor made me feel at home. I decided to finally visit this store after playing Space Marines 2 since the game released. I was a bit nervous because I had never played the table top game at all before but I was a fan of the video game and was always interested in the lore. Max was awesome, he introduced my friend and I to all the different models, starter kits and paints. I bought a small kit to start and practice with and he was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable on how the game works and what he recommended us to start with. The staff at this location is very nice and helpful.... if you can ever see them. Store hours are not the times you see on google. It'll say theyre open on a Tuesday from 12pm-5pm but then you get there and the store is closed. Also, their phone number on google is pointless if you want to verify they're open before driving up there because they never answer the store phone anyway. So you just have to blindly show up during their "store hours" and hope they're not closed for whatever reason. Very un-professional way to...
