I can’t imagine anyone not liking the food served at this restaurant. Everything was perfect. My filet mignon was the thickest and most tender steak I’ve ever had; the flavor wasn’t overwhelming and was seasoned just right. Some parts of the steak were juicy and didn’t hold as much seasoning as other parts, but it worked out because I’d taste a piece with less seasoning and then get a delectable bite of the more seared and seasoned piece and it was like heaven in my mouth.
The drunken quail was delicious and my favorite part of the meal. It was grilled perfectly and had this crispy texture on the outside and so juicy on the inside.
The food was oh so perfect. The kind of meal you would want for your last meal. Just felt so happy to be there in the calm and cozy atmosphere with beautiful trees outside the windows and being fed course after course from such a talented chef.
The owner and waitress were also super attentive, filling our water and tea glasses after only dwindling a tiny bit. They were more than accommodating to my food allergy needs and ensured I would be able to enjoy my meal safely. So much dedication to providing an enjoyable experience for their guests. Such a beautiful restaurant that I’m so glad to have found and experienced. I can’t...
Read moreHubby and I decided to treat ourselves to dinner last night and we wanted to try a new place. We are so happy we tried The Veranda. The atmosphere was so comforting and intimate. Chef T was wonderful. I love that she was there to take our order. Not being able to meet her would’ve been a loss. From beginning to end we enjoyed ourselves. Wait staff was attentive and kind. Our food was delicious. We ordered the crab cake and the fire and ice shrimp as an appetizer. So so good. That sauce over the shrimp - I need a bottle of it. Hubby had the glazed salmon and I had the mahi pontchartrain. So so good. 😋😋.
And of course we saved room for dessert. Key lime pie and crème brûlée. I have always always always wanted to try crème brûlée and I am so glad my first experience was here. So creamy so delicious. With the beautiful crack of the brûlée sugar. Yum.
Hubby and I just wanted to sit and enjoy the ambiance and get a tour of the place. It was definitely an experience. Thank you Chef T and the entire staff. We told you we’d be back and Lord willing we will be.
Peace and Blessings Freeman and...
Read moreWe were able to get a last minute Christmas Eve reservation, and I could not have been more excited. Pat was the sweetest hostess/ waitress/ owner all in one. Her daughter Tara whom is the executive chef presented a 3 course menu that was out of this world. My husband and boys went with the filet mignon while I had the Mahi Mahi pontchartrain. They both had sides of a sliced thin potato slices and green beans! The potatoes were partially scalloped partially mashed and the texture was amazing! The steaks were the most tender melt in your mouth piece of meat I have ever tasted, the Mahi Mahi was flawless !
We finished with 2 of us ordering the cheesecake and the boys ordering the white/ dark chocolate mouse cake! They were divine ! And had us falling off to sleep in a food coma heaven leaving plenty of time for Santa to visit! Can’t wait to come back !!!! Can’t believe i have lived here most my life and...
