Elite Treats — Restaurant in Houston

The only thing my nephew asked me for his graduation party was to bring an Italian Cream Cake. We called Elite Treats and asked if they made an Italian Cream Cake and they said "Yes" so we placed our order for a half sheet cake. Unfortunately what we cut into on the day of the event was not an Italian Cream Cake...not even close. We had a two layer white cake with cream cheese and pecan filling (not even any coconut). Also, their decoration and lettering on the cake was not what I would exactly call professional quality.

The thing is that I knew when I picked up the cake that it did not look like an Italian Cream Cake and I questioned them that day and they said "Yes...it's Italian Cream Cake on the inside"...I assumed he meant the actual cake layers.

For the price we paid we could have purchased a very similar cake from Kroger or Sams for half the price!

My complaint is more with the manager's lack of response to my phone calls and messages left with the staff on the following business day. So, I drove to the business and once again left a personal message with the staff to have the manager contact me to discuss the issue and I have yet to hear back from him. When I was there the lady behind the counter told me they don't even offer an Italian Cream Cake...they only make a white cake with Italian Cream Frosting only and she showed me one they had in the glass case....which again did not resemble the cake I received.

There is nothing they can do now to make it right. This is more about customer service, pride in the product you sell, and ultimately your client satisfaction. However, not even taking the time to return my calls or message shows lack of caring and concern.

Horrible people! My son and I had a mixup of our credit cards and when he called to find out who used his card, they canceled my other sons wedding cake. They still had my original deposit and did not even bother to call and let me know that there was a problem or ask me if I still wanted the order. I paid my son for the accidental use of his card, so they still had that money as well. Order was PAID IN FULL. No one ever canceled the charges, they had all of their money, yet still canceled with no phone call to me, the person who actually ordered the cake. So on the day of the wedding we call to see what time they would be there and they say that I canceled the order I have not spoken to them at all since I made the final payment. In a miscommunication with my other son, I didn't even know he had spoken with them. Regardless, the business allowed someone who had nothing to do with the order to cancel and didn't even let me know. Then accused me of canceling. Will never use them again and neither will any of my friends or family. Terrible business. For all they know, it could've been a disgruntled ex trying to mess up the wedding. The worst part is they did not even try to make things right in any way and not even an apology. So no cake for my sons wedding because of them. The only reason they even have one star is because it won't let me...

We ordered a two tiered baby shower cake. I gave a reference photo and was assured it could be replicated. Obviously the cake decorator was wrong. It was poorly decorated. The taste of the cake was good- but unfortunately was not the right flavor. At this price point, one should expect high quality decorations, but above that, it should be the correct flavor. Not much you can do after you've already cut into it with 20+ guests in attendance. We were certain to let all guests know where we got it and where to avoid for your custom cake needs. This is the third cake we've ordered from Elite Treats. It will be the last. I guess the new ownership just can't live up to past experiences. In addition, it was not completed on time and the store never responded to my complaint which I sent a week ago. Currently looking for a new custom bakery. First photo is inspiration photo.
