I've been wanting some Firehouse Subs for quite some time now. So I decided to try this location out 30 minutes ago, and it really didn't disappoint. First off, there were only 2 people working at this location in the early evening hours. I ended up getting 2 sandwiches ( 1 of them was a combo) and an extra bag of chips for my son.
The 1st sandwich I got was the Smokehouse Cheddar and Beef Brisket. It was tender and delicious with flavor. The bread was soft like a good sandwich should. The BBQ sauce was sweet with a bit of tangy. This was a combo, so I got Salt and Vinegar Chips and a cherry Mellow Yellow at first, but the drink tasted flat. So I ended up getting a Shirley Temple (a cherry Sprite for anyone who doesn't know what it is)... much better.
The 2nd sandwich I got was my favorite sandwich ever, the New York Steamer. Just like the other sandwich, the meat was tender and full of flavor, the cheese was perfectly melted, and the bread was soft. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite.
The service, despite only 2 workers working this evening, was really exceptional. 1 of them was taking the orders, and 1 is making the sandwiches. The wait wasn't really too long, about 15 to 20 minutes depends on what you order. The ambiance is like a modern sandwich shop.
The only downfall with all Firehouse Subs is that there aren't any sauces on the counter like it used to be when they first opened... bring that back, please!! That's what made me love this franchise in the first place.
Next time I'm in the area, I...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe food consistently meets expectations, but the service provided by the staff falls short. Upon entering the empty store, the two available workers failed to take my order. After waiting at the register for 5-10 minutes, I approached a passing gentleman to confirm where to order, and he assured me that someone would assist me soon. Finally, another staff member attended to me, but her demeanor was exceedingly rude. Despite my efforts to simplify the process by ordering just a medium New Yorker sandwich, she aggressively asked, "Do you want pickles!?" After taking my order, she proceeded to ignore me for the duration of my wait. I then waited an additional 30 minutes for my order and eventually had to inquire about its status. It became apparent that they hadn't even begun preparing my order until I brought it up. Adding to the frustration, five customers who had ordered after me received their food before I did. I arrived at 8:01 and left at 8:54, thoroughly disappointed by the poor service from the lady working at this establishment. While she may have been having a bad day, it does not justify treating...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDrove all the way in town from austin and saw this store and decided to come in and grab a bite to eat. I walked in and there were two men behind the counter. I walked in, said hello to them (they didnāt even make eye contact, let alone speak). I stood there looking at the menu for a minute thinking they were busy with something until one of them just wandered away bored/uninterested. I used to be a manager in the food industry so experiencing someone to take so long to even acknowledge someone in their establishment ready to spend money was bewildering. I made sure to stand there just long enough to where it was awkward for them. We were the only ones in the store, there were no other customers. Once it was in the air that they were intentionally ignoring me, I walked out and gladly ate elsewhere (lost and found, GREAT Cajun pasta 5/5!!). Iāve never felt so clearly rejected and disrespected. I would like to reiterate, this store lost my business SOLELY because of their rude staff that has zero customer service. Youāre better off eating your finger nails than eating...
