Their customer service is good, when I went to order my cake they were very friendly and helpful. The only reason why I put 1 star reviews is because my cake cracked all the way and fell apart. When I got home, it was still intact, although I did see it start to split a little bit but didn't pay too much attention to it. Couple minutes went by I saw it slide off completely that I started freaking out because my party didnt start for another 2 hours, I didn't call them or make a big deal although I was pretty upset about it, but what can you do after they make you sign a paper stating they are not responsible for the cake after you leave with it, which I get but in my case this was their fault. The cake was not properly stable for it, not to crack and fall apart. The filling was sticking out of the mid section of the sides of the cake. They put way to much buttercream on it to supposedly secure it from falling apart but it didn't not help, they over filled it with to much filling which was basically the root cause of the top layer from sliding off, plus the top layer was way thicker than the bottom, which to me doesn't make sense, because why would you put a heavier layer on top of the thinner one, especially since the filling was strawberries with a cream/glaze mixture which for one is wet which made the top layer crack and slide off. For the price that I paid for this cake ($275) it made me very upset that this happened. Litterly as the picture is, that is how it got. I decided to do a custom cake for my boyfriend's birthday through this bakery since I live close by and had their cupcakes before and thought they were pretty good. I picked up my cake this past Saturday and was not too happy with the results. The lettering on the cake came out crooked and the cake looked overall rushed. The worker could tell by my face that I wasn't too happy with the finished cake and gave me a complimentary cupcake (hence the 2nd star for being a great employee) I was told that I would be getting a call by Monday (today) but I received no call whatsoever. I don't think I will ever be coming back here. EDIT — I finally got a call today and the baker just didn’t even acknowledge why I was dissatisfied. I’m not trying to be a difficult customer, but this is not okay. I told her I was suppose to get a call by Monday and her excuse was she just got in today (Tuesday) not her fault, establishment fault for not handling customer complaints more seriously. But overall taking away from the call, I was more disappointed with my overall experience. Everything I told her I wasn’t happy with the cake an excuse was given instead of just saying sorry, honestly that’s all I wanted to hear. Just acknowledging the situation and apologizing. I decided to purchase my husband a custom cake for his birthday. I sent pictures of the cake I wanted and asked for a just a change of color from the original picture. The results of the cake was NOT a professional bakery. It was a terrible job! The letters were crooked, the 18 wheeler looked like my 5 year old did it.( he probably would've did a better job!) It looked rushed and nothing like the picture I gave them. I could not complain since I picked it up a hour before his birthday party. Disappointment is a understatement since we paid 105 dollars for this. It also was improperly made, all layed cakes must me leveled, even I know that and I'm no baker. Which resulted in the cake falling over in 15 minutes. They make you sign a waiver stating if the cake falls their not responsible.( I wonder why). See the picture that shows the cake was never leveled. You can't stack uneven cakes on top of each other of course their going to fall. Tier cakes have to be leveled any professional baker knows that. I do not recommend getting any custom cake made here. They will surely disappoint you! The 1 star is because they are very polite.
