I tend to usually stay away from reviews but this needs to be known which is being addressed to HR. I recently went in Sunday night trying to buy Pokemon cards. The hardest product to find nowadays at MSRP. This store happened to have some which was bitter sweet. As soon as I spotted the product, I was not aware the carts were put in place blocking customers from entering to grab a product. Manny the associate immediately said I needed to go back to register 7 bc only the employee could grab the product we wanted. I wasn’t aware so I was ok with that. As per usual every target I have been too they enforce a 2 upc per product , but Manny said I could only get 1 upc and that was MANDATORY. I asked why and he could only tell me to READ the sign. This caused frustration as he began to stare at my face with the most restless expression of emotionless compassion. I begin to ask for a manager which he radios her to come to register 7 , Brandie then says what’s going on, he then replies a customer is trying to get 2 upc , she then replies with it’s 1 upc per customer , he then replies , she says it’s 1 upc per customer. Again I’ve been told by Manny 3 times bc of course I’m asking why since the other targets I’ve been too never gave me this issue. I expressed the fact that I’ve been to other locations and they not enforced that rule. He then paged her again as I asked that she come say it directly to me , she replied to him via radio and I am not sure what she said but she did not come until the 3rd time he paged her via radio! So she comes to the front with a very unfriendly attitude. I asked her why there was a 1 upc rule and she then said “People like you who decide to come to the store and harass, follow , threaten or even make the vendors feel uncomfortable. The vendor asked us to implement this rule.” She not only accused me of harassing a vendor but being those “people” who come to buy out the product as I have no life. I am not sure if it’s because how I’m dressed or how I appear to look on the outside of my skin but her unethical behavior was not acceptable. She then walked away bc again she was not happy with me asking why or how she responded to me so I did become frustrated with the fact that she said “people like me who come here to harass the vendor and come to buy everything are the reason why we have this 1 UPC rule!” I went to guest services bc I was needing to find her. She was no where to be found and all the employees began to look at me with disgust and restless resentment towards me. All I wanted was to buy Pokemon cards which is very hard to find nowadays because people resell them 3x the amount of msrp. I then found Brandie the so called “manager” and asked why she left without saying anything to me , and she then said “I have other customers to help and that is why I walked away.” She did not say I’ll be right back , she did not say she would help in any way but she left and it angered me so I asked her for the store managers name and she replied “I am the manager.” I asked are you the store manager , she then replied sarcastically as her store manager had her own schedule and would not be able to be reached so I asked for the 1800 target number which I called and began to speak to a rep who said per TARGET POLICY, that the Pokemon or any cards have a 2 UPC policy per item and Manny then eve heard the rep say that to him but he did not care even a little bit as he just shrugged it off.
I get it people wanna get the cards, people wanna buy more than 1 which is why we get 2 upc but no you cant bc they’ll block you , judge you and deny you!
I have already submitted a complaint to HR and will be following up to make sure that I am not the only one or person being attacked by these judgmental individuals who have the power to deny us of buying something we sought out for ourselves. Read moreterrible management here . One we always have an issue with is a supposed manager named Angela , always has an attitude always says they can’t fix price errors etc . When any other time I come and get different more experienced management they know exactly what to do. Starting to feel it’s more of a racial thing . I’ve seen her treat others just fine. Today we came in and needed a price adjusted we got some Christmas decorations and everything is supposed To be 50% off . One item didn’t come down & her reply without even turning to fully look at us was if it rings up you get the discount if it doesn’t you don’t . My sister and I looked at each other and decided this grinch wasn’t going to get us out of character . Just wondering how a person like her ends up in management . Their cashiers& customer service employees have more respect when speaking to customers than her . It’s come to the point that if I need something fixed and she’s the one in customer service I’d rather come another day . She’s walked up to us while checking out at a regular cashier and asked if we plan on paying for things still in the cart when the belt is overflowing and nothing else fits . Like Maam if I haven’t paid and gotten a receipt what makes you think I’m not going to pay for items that don’t fit on the shopping belt ? Do I carry them in my arms to help her feel better ? Read moreI am no newbie when it comes to target been shopping at this location for years. This store has completely done a 180 when it comes to facing the store,having integrity in the brand and customer service. When I come into to this location I always go to guest service and Starbucks more frequent. Victoria in Starbucks is amazing she always suggest any ingredient to substitute that they are out of, tells me her favorite drink and ask me if I like my drink every time she makes it. Her interaction with the guest reminds me of Chick-fil-A excellent service.
At the guest office or when I am getting a pick up is a young man named “Ever”. I feel as if this is the best employee in the entire store although they all make one amazing team . Ever always assist me with a positive attitude, always greets me , ask me if I need help finding anything and extremely thankful that I am a customer shopping at Target. This young man puts the red carpet under every guest feet including myself. He is the reason I choose to drive and pass by two target locations and only want to come here. If any CEO is looking at this review you have a dedicated outstanding worker that never ever seems to not enjoy his job.
