My experience with Ted Polasek has been first class! I would highly recommend Ted to anyone with a patent or trademark problem. Mine started out last spring when I agreed to set up a dba under my company, BCP Ventures, Inc., a Georgia Corporation. I was trying to help a friend who had fallen on hard times. We started the dba as BizMatch Advisors. A company in Texas, with the name BizMatch, Inc. sued my friend, my holding company and me personally for tradename infringement. I was first served with papers in early November. I tried to handle things myself by writing certified letters to plaintiff's counsel and the judge who was named in the suit. That resulted in a Settlement demand in the amount of $10,000. The little dba had not made a cent and, in fact, had significant expenses to set up everything. Since there is little blood obtained from turnips, I might have pleaded poverty. Unfortunately (or fortunately), my "real" dba - Chartwell Business Advisors - is a company that advises owners in the staffing industry on selling or buying companies. I knew my idea of poor mouthing could blow up in my face. After a little research, I contacted Ted Polasek and he got on the case. In return for release of our bizmatchadvisors.com domain, he got our case dismissed for no cash settlement. That was exactly what I hoped for but did not have much faith would happen.
