Sleek Creperie & Cafe — Restaurant in Houston

Came across their TikTok page and decided to support them & try their Dubai Chocolate & Strawberry cups. They were OK. It seems like pistachio butter was used, not cream - couldn’t really taste the pistachio.

The cup should’ve been filled to the brim especially if it’s priced at $17.99. The Dubai chocolate was mediocre at best & definitely overpriced - in my opinion. I was charged $8.49 but the listed price on menu was $6.99. When I confronted an employee about it, they mentioned it was “the online price” and “the employee was new”. Their resolution was to fix my transaction to reflect the correct amount. Why was I charged the “online price” if I walked into the store?

Please also keep in mind that they charge a 7% fee for “tips” AND there’s a screen at the end of the transaction that suggests an additional tip.

I decided to try Sleek because I genuinely wanted to support a local business. I chose to buy the Dubai choco & cup so that I can share on social media but after the way they handled the incident, it just rubbed me...

HORRIBLE HOSTILE SERVICE. Careless rude customer service. The old lady that takes orders is not fit for position. She's so arrogant and rude. Walked to the front to place an order, made eye contact with her at the register while I was speaking trying to place an order she left and went to play with a little kid for a good 10 minutes and then came back to take my order as if I work for her. Placed a waffle order and then she asked if I would like an ice cream on my waffle I said yes and she charged me over $5 extra. Waited another 15 minutes to get the order. Even their workers you can tell that they get treated bad, very hostile work place. Workers are sad to be there and don't care about service. I got my order and left. Got home to find out that they didn't add ice cream that I was charged extra for. Very unprofessional service and rude customer service. A friend and I went to Sleek in the evening when the other coffee shops were closed. The manager himself let us choose one each, of any particular bonbon we desired. Mine was a beautiful marble looking candy on the outside with chocolate and mango on the inside. My friend chose a milk chocolate one with caramel on the inside. We both pronounced our candy confections delicious! We ordered coffee and a dessert crepe which came out looking like a giant seashell. It had strawberries on the inside. I think they forgot the strawberry whipped cream which he said came with it.. but nonetheless it was plenty sweet and delicious. To accompany our dessert we chose an Americano coffee. We both could not believe how delicious the coffee was! I want to find out where they get that coffee because it's better than the one that I drink at home, which already is a very good roast and a very good type of coffee.
