Levant BBQ in Houston delivers an unforgettable dining experience, offering a unique blend of flavors that truly stand out. The menu is a celebration of Middle Eastern and American BBQ fusion, and several dishes deserve special mention.
The Cole Slaw and Potato Salad are perfect accompaniments, with creamy textures and balanced flavors. The cole slaw is refreshing and slightly tangy, while the potato salad is rich and satisfying. Both are ideal sides to complement the grilled meats.
The Hummus is another highlight, with a silky-smooth texture and a wonderfully rich flavor, enhanced by a touch of garlic and olive oil. It's a great starter and pairs beautifully with the Okra, which is tender yet slightly crispy, offering the perfect bite.
For those seeking something light and refreshing, the Levant Garden salad is a must-try. It’s vibrant and full of fresh ingredients, making it a great option to balance the heartier dishes. Similarly, the Cucumber Dill offers a cool and zesty crunch that perfectly contrasts with the BBQ flavors.
For a truly indulgent experience, you can’t go wrong with the Mac & Cheese, which is rich, creamy, and a real comfort food. The Creamed Corn is another indulgence, sweet, buttery, and velvety in texture, a great addition to the meal.
The Saffron Rice is delicately fragrant and pairs beautifully with the flavorful meats. The Quinoa Cowboy Caviar provides a hearty and nutritious option with a delightful medley of ingredients, while the Fasolia offers a robust, savory bean dish that rounds out the meal beautifully.
The sandwiches, like the Prime Brisket and Turkey Breast, are deliciously tender, with perfectly balanced seasoning. The Brisket Shawarma offers a delightful twist on traditional BBQ and is absolutely worth trying.
For groups, the Habibi Feast ($99) offers incredible value, with generous portions of brisket, turkey, chicken, sausage, and a variety of sides. If you're looking for something even more extravagant, the Levant Feast ($149) or Lamb Feast ($199) provide an impressive array of meats, sides, and sauces to please a crowd.

The service is akin to a small-town diner - something that’s been sorely missing from many similar joints tucked firmly within the heart of Houston. It’s actually almost disarming to see a BBQ joint this cleanly and well-maintained. And, the whole staff up and down the line are fantastic, both friendly and attentive. Specifically, Joshua, who you’ll likely meet first, sets the tone with his welcoming vibe and recommendations. I actually stopped by the month they opened and he was just as pleasant then as he is now. The pessimistic side of your brain always tells you that this kind of pleasantry probably gets beaten out of you after spending months working within any restaurant, but this man is too decent of a human being to go down any other path.
Y’all, let’s face it… we’ve all had BBQ. 10s, maybe 100s, of times in our lives. For the most part, we know what we’re in for. That’s why when you get the chance to explore a fusion such as this, you grab a fork and ask questions later. The flavors that they’re combining here at Levant are so refreshing that they’ve got me taking 5 minutes out of my day just to write this review… I don’t even write reviews. And, to tell you the truth, I’d classify this one as more of a public service announcement - a sense of duty to make sure this establishment gets the acknowledgment they deserve.
So, with that being said, do yourself a favor and get on over to Levant. You never know what meal might be your last, but I know I’d die a happy man if Levant’s BBQ is...
Read moreA perfect mixture of Texas BBQ with a Mediterranean twist! I absolutely love this place! I had a taste for some BBQ; specifically I wanted some brisket. I had been up and down Westheimer during my stay in Houston and I couldn't help, but to notice this fine restaurant. The guy cooking the brisket was very friendly and assisted me with my order. When I watched him cut that brisket, it was juicy and appeared as delicious as it tasted. I'm not exaggerating, but my mouth was watering as I saw him cut it. The chicken quarter was seasoned to perfection. For the sides, I had the Mediterranean style baked beans and potato salad and they were very delicious! You get quite a bit for the price you pay. I washed it all down with a Dr. Pepper which was refreshing. You can tell they change out the softdrink station regularly as the soda I had was not flat!
The staff was customer friendly and I love the attire of the women! It went really well with the theme of the restaurant. They were courteous also and gave me a piece of baklava on the house because it was my first time there.
The bathroom was clean. The layout of the restaurant is very elaborate! There is a dining area attendant who keeps it clean as people get up from their tables after completing their meal, so the restaurant is immaculate! Overall, I think the concept of this restaurant is amazing and I plan to tell everyone I can about it and...
