The instructions aren’t clear online & trying to speak to someone is impossible. Their # is an automated system that is not helpful. After repeated attempts I was able to speak to a live person. She was able to confirm my appt. & informed me of where to make my cash payment for the renewal of my Ecuadorian passport. You have to do this prior to your appt. That info. is not listed on their website. Also, if you’re trying to reach someone call after 1:30 p.m. they’re closed to the public, but there may be someone available at that hour to answer calls. First and foremost, the staff at the consulate were exceptionally courteous and professional. Once inside the consulate, I was impressed by the organized and clean environment. In and out in less than one hour for a passport renewal and a notary document. They were very knowledgeable about the logistics and rules for the notary document I needed.
