I had an amazing wedding at the Dukessa earlier this month. Norma and Emma were incredible - they thought of literally every detail possible, knew all the answers to my questions, and were so responsive via email in between our meetings. I looked at a few venues as most couples do, but what I really liked about Dukessa was the following:
My wife and I (mostly my awesome wife) prepared the wedding in a 5 months time-frame. I have to say, Laura was extremely open and helpful. She knew we didn't have a wedding planner, we feel she went above and beyond to help us fill the gaps, giving us recommendations and suggestions of things we didn't even think about. She kept us on track sending us emails and reminders. In regards to the value of the venue and service, Dukessa was slightly below the price of the previous 2 venues we checked out. After our visit and explanation of the services, we found out that Dukessa offered more for less compared to the other two. With that said, I (being a guy) was very skeptical. I thought we were going to end up "paying" for it the day of the wedding. I was wrong. The reception was just like we've planned it. It went very smooth, no problems, no last minute issues. During the reception, the service was great. Food was just like on the tasting day, servers were very kind and the Chef came to check with us if everything was good. Rebecca was always on sight, paying attention, ready to jump in when needed, always happy to help and with a smile. To summarize it, Dukessa and it's staff exceed our expectations. Read moreI had my wedding at Dukessa in April and everything was spectacular! I cannot recommend this venue enough if you are looking for something in the heart of the city. The staff is excellent to work with; extra shout out to Norma! For the venue they provide tables and chairs, glass/silverware, catering, and bar. All you really need to get yourself is linens and your own décor/florals and they have a recommended supplier list you can use. There are F&B minimums but my wedding was 50 people and we easily met this based on our selections. The courtyard area is perfect for cocktail hour and there are multiple ways they can setup the ceremony room based on what you want. On the actual day Norma and my coordinator Amber had everything running smoothly from the venue side, bartenders and dinner staff were great and the food was delicious!
