First, sales staff was pleasant and helpful, my issue has been with follow up from boat sales management. I bought a new boat and was promised a $750 gift card and was told I would get it in a couple weeks, well little more than 5 weeks and I am still waiting. Boat sales manager said it was up to Tracker/Nitro and when I checked with them, they said it was up to the retail store. Finally got the boat sales manager on the phone and he blamed the "system" and said they were changing it. He said the "one" person he knew that could fix it was out but he would email them. Forced me to spend more money on safety equipment so I could use the boat that this gift card would have covered. Follow up from sale manager is not good.
May 23rd update. I did what was asked and emailed details and was told I would hear from the store by last Tuesday and if not let them know, weāll, nothing so I let them know and they advised if I donāt hear anything by today let them know, well big surprise I am still waiting. Biggest sale of the year and after almost 7 weeks still no gift card to buy the additional items, I guess it is either buy elsewhere or just give them more money.
I hate leaving negative reviews but this store has the worst business practices that I have ever experienced. If I could get a refund on the boat and go elsewhere I would. Had a recall on the motor and found gel coat damage next to the drain plug, service scheduled as appointment for May 20th, then on May 27 they call me and say they havenāt looked at the boat, they told me that they sold several boats and prepping new boats takes priority and that they might get to my boat in a few more days. Service said an appointment only gets you on the waiting list. Two days later they call and say the trailer wasnāt adjusted right and that was what caused the damage and they were fixing it free. Said it should be ready the next week which would have been yesterday. I called yesterday they say they are waiting for the catalyst for the gel coat to arrive, āmightā get it fixed next week. Really nice people but their business model sucks, you would think a boat bought three weeks prior would have gotten a little better service. I was LOCKED in store and had to wait for the same guy to let me out that was being unprofessional at his job. I felt held against my will foreal. I don't steal, I get it people do steal alot . I was followed around store the whole time. I spend a lot of money there to be treated so bad. I didn't Evan really care about being stocked in the store, go ahead waste time watching me shop lol. IV had bad interactions more than once in Niles Ohio store. But being locked in store is ridiculous, felt embarrassed, everyone was looking at me like I was a thief. All because of some guy that isn't happy at his job. Fin fur feather has got my business for last 3 firearms Iv bought. Kinda sucks Bass pro has to lose a customer over bad workers .But locking people in store is kinda like holding some against there will, without probable cause. kidnapping or something .
