I love food, I literally live for food. I'm an at home chef and I dream of owning my own restaurant one day. I just had the most all around satisfying meal I've had in a long time. I can go out and be like that was good but ehh. This place made me eat more than I wanted to and enjoy every last second of it. I got the kimchi chicken sandwich with truffle fries. Truffle fries are one of those things that should just be easy, because it's truffle and French fries but so many places disappoint on things like that. My first bite was the fries and immediately I glanced over to my sandwich drooling. If you can do fries like that the sandwich has to be on point. Not sure what the sauce is that they serve with the fries, it was delicious but they 100% don't need it. Sure enough, that first bite of the sandwich was packed with about 7-8 different flavors that just subtlety hit your tongue with the rhythm of a jazz band. The spice level on the sauce had me reaching for my beer after each bite but never sweating or being overbearing. Idk what they put in the kimchi but it's slightly sweet and a little smokey, I also like that it's more finely chopped than what you'd normally get. I ended up ordering a large side of it to take home. The egg on the sandwich was absolutely glorious from a visual perspective down to the taste. The yolk for me was toward the back of my sandwich. I was a little over halfway done when I reached it. It burst open and I literally just laughed out loud. My girlfriend said why are you laughing? I told her this sandwich was already incredible but I just hit the yolk and it changed everything! She had the fried chicken bowl and even the one bite I had of that was incredible, same kind of situation with a ton of flavors meshing together in a symphony. Service was solid, our server was on top of it even though we did come in a little late and the bartender chatted us up for a bit. My final thoughts on this restaurant are; I can not wait to go back, I want another kimchi chicken sandwich right now even tho I'm stuffed, I'm stoked I live and work so close to here, and lastly how in the world did you make an egg...
Read moreMad For Chicken is an absolute gem that has arrived in our area of dining. It is something completely different than what the Valley is used to.
The atmosphere is fun and I do really enjoy the look of the inside of the restaurant. It is clean, and well kept. The bar, while on the smaller side does appear to be fun. The drinks I saw they were making appeared to be fun and delicious looking. I definitely want to give those a try next time. The restaurant is also very active on their social media page and you get a good view of some of the things they are making in house.
The service was really good as well. I had posted a comment on TikTok when a reviewer I watch, did their review for this restaurant. The restaurant responded my comment and said the next time I came in, a order of the wings were on them. When I decided to come in, I showed them the comment that was on TikTok and they honored what they said with no issue at all. Honestly, I didn't even care if they didn't, but it lead to a great conversation with the manager. He was so appreciative of the support and told us the story of how they came to our area. Our server was very tentative and they actually made us feel like we were the most important table at the restaurant however, I saw all the servers doing this for their tables.
Getting into the food. I have ate at the restaurant twice and I have done carry out 3 other times. Starting off with the dumplings. They are crispy on the outside and soft and bursting with flavor on the inside. The glaze of their korean soy sauce on them is a great touch. This app will definitely wet your pallets before the main meal. I also go with the loaded kimchi fries. The fries are absolutely amazing. The crisp on them is something I've never experienced before on a fry. The wings, thighs, and drums are awesome. Soy ginger and spicy soy ginger is the way to go. Super crisp, nice kick from the spice and a burst of flavor. Like the fries, it's a crisp you haven't had on chicken before unless if you've had this style. I am so glad this restaurant...
Read moreI don't really do food reviews often unless it deserves my time and attention to expose to more people so it can stay open so i can keep going!
Had really good Korean style chicken wings and chicken tenders. It is double deep fried meaning it got that satisfying crunch and breading. Surprisingly, especially compare to other places, was pretty cheap for the amount of food we got! Their parmasean truffle fries were pretty addicting and their bourbon kicking sauce you can actually taste the bourbon. While my wife was not a big fan at first cause it was alittle too much bourbon taste. She end up loving it later when she reheat. I'm assuming some of it vapor off or whatever food science you want to put here....she would get it again as take out and eat for later. Personally I like it fresh better. Their spicy sauce were actually spicy and will give you a run for your money while still tasting good. Not being hot for the sake of hot.
The staff were super chill and professional and love thr charismatic atmosphere. So whoever is reading it this review, kudos to your guys. They were attentive and wanted to provide good service without being "that guy" checking every 5 mins.
Space wise, it is MUCH BIGGER in the inside than it looks from the outside. So that was surprising.
Long story short in an economy where we don't want to spend too much money eating out and trying to be find places to eat... 10/10 would throw my money at them again!
Bonus- it right next to a...
