I have recently had a very stressful incident happen to me. The manager of the UPS store, saved my life! I was told that I had to mail a large amount of money to a Federal Attorney to represent me as my ID had been stolen and I was going to be arrested for fraud and a number of horrible crimes. I ran to the bank took out my money and went to the UPS store in Hudson to mail it to some address in California to the attorney (Otiz). Bill the manager of the UPS store questioned me casually about the package I was mailing and when he learned what it was and the situation, cautioned me that it was a Fraud. I was being scammed, but I didn't believe him and told him to mail it anyway. He argued with me, but eventually did what I wanted. I was terrified and feared I would be arrested if I didn't mail it. Unbeknown to me, however, Bill, the manager, called the police as soon as I left the store. The police came to my house while the thief was still on the phone with me ( I guess they keep you on the phone a long time). When the officer confronted the man on the other end of the line (he said he was with the Social Security Department), it was soon obvious through his stammering and lies, that he was a fraud. We hung up and I went back to the store to tell them not to mail the package and get my money back. This manager's actions were above and beyond. He is a hero for saving my family (this would have ruined us). UPS should be proud and honored to have a man like this managing their store. He is not only an outstanding, strong and wise individual, he is a model of excellence and kindness. I cannot thank him him enough for what he did. He took it upon himself to call the police and rescued us from a horrible fate. Bill is number one and a 5 star hero in my book. I would trust my life with...
Read moreI shipped two separate items to friends not realizing the boxes they packaged them in were max weighted for 11lbs. Even though the items I was shipping were only 2lbs each. For 3 day shipping one cost over $40 and the other over $50, plus all the packing charges they added on because they insisted on found it for me. I realized this after the fact so I went and tried to cancel the sale and just not ship them because the total cost in the end was over $130 they charged me to pack them and ship them. The people I was shipping to were not happy to hear the prices. It was less than 5 minutes I went back to ask to return and get my items back. The man at the front desk said no,. I said the people i was shipping to were not happy and I wanted my items back. He told me the items were already on the truck and he couldn't get them. it was 6:25pm, 5 minutes before they closed. I said, they are in the truck, there is a truck here? He rudely responded.. "how do you know if there isn't a truck?" He proceeded to laugh at me and went back to doing what he was doing when I first walked in. I stood there and he ignored me. So I drove around the back of the plaza and there was no truck. Pathetic customer service, laughing and treating a customer this way after spending a half hour asking for assistance with trying to ship items. He couldn't even nicely explain the reasoning behind pricing better to me to help my unhappiness or stress; instead just laughed right in my face. ...
Read moreThis review is in response to repeated lies by the UPS Store on Technology Drive in Hudson Massachusetts.
I had a major issue come up and I had to overnight a package that would rest assured arrive by morning the following day. I checked with this UPS store by calling and asking for a confirmation on their drop off times and pickup times, that was about the only correct thing that this UPS store offered. I asked if he could quote out what an "overnight express" envelope would cost to X zip code, he told me a price and I agreed and he told me to be there by 6:15 to confirm it goes out that day. I drove almost an hour and arrived on time and was quoted nearly DOUBLE! I say you quoted me $85.00 on the phone, the employee asked if I had a UPS account number and I said I did, he never applied my account number or provided my account discount through my business. Still to this day, this specific UPS store refuses to offer a credit for the difference in their quote versus what it would have cost me via my UPS account and they still refuse, yet the employee said I WOULD receive credit back to the original form of payment. Would not recommend going here to mail anything with UPS, check out Pirate Ship, Ship Station, or Staples, you'll be guaranteed better rates and MUCH better customer service, because the employee their, certainly lacked any customer service skills or respect for the customers who help keep the lights on and pay the bills. Will continue to follow up...
