I have gone to this store for a long time and it was nothing very special. The workers weren't exceptional or anything special, and they've never had everything that I've needed. The workers, or people in charge, never even approach you to see if they can help with anything. But recently, I asked about a product over the phone. First off, the lady over the phone had a bit of an attitude when I asked about the product by asking "what? I don't know what you're talking about." Then she transferred me over to another person who said they would check the availability. He said there were three of them left and I asked if he would hold onto two of them for me. He said that he would as long as I came that day. I told him I would and then that was the end of that conversation. I then asked my father if he would go and get them for me as soon as he could. He got there about two hours later and the workers there told him that they didn't hold on to them and they sold out. It's very misleading and an awful way to do business. I highly recommend to go to a different store because chances are that it won't be a...
Read moreCustomer service is horrible. Entering through the doors and passing by the security sensors I was greeted by employees with the questioning of if I was there to pick up a DoorDash order for delivery. Unsure why I gave the impression of a delivery personal & not a potential customer… though I was dressed in my corporate shirt. I was in total disbelief & astonished to say the least. No hellos or welcomes. Eventually I began to shop & requested an employee myself for assistance whom was willing to assist someone else who was slightly showing interest . They brought out the items I requested but never came back to f/ u with how they fit or what I decided on . That was the moment I decided I would just call corporate & spend my dollar else where. I had to assume it was either due to my social status, being a POC, or maybe not being the usual look of a usual athlete. Unfortunately I take pride in customer service & public relations. It’s the simple things that matter when building business to consumer relations . Get...
Read moreI’m looking at the reviews here and it makes sense as to why I had the same experience as all the ones star reviews. I was Help with by somebody named Jorge to do a return. It’s clear that he likes any type of customer service skills or knowledge. I don’t think he knows how to interact with people in general, he’s rude clearly has no social skills, and doesn’t have an answer basic decency in his body. He’s short and super disrespectful. I hope he knows that not working with people or at Dick’s Sporting Goods is optional. There’s plenty of other places that you can work, where you do not have to interact with people, maybe try finding a job that doesn’t require face-to-face interactions so that you don’t have to treat people poorly when they ask you questions that you should know as...
