The girl named Itzel was a joke. I had a Nordstrom return which was a MAC brush cleanser. When it came in the shipment the fluid somehow leaked all over so I had to return it. When Itzel asked me what the reason for returning, I told her it was damage.
Instead of asking for clarification, she proceeded to the phone and made a call, later she returned and said āwe donāt normally accept Nordstrom items that were used but my manager let me take it this timeā. I told her that it was not used. She then lifted the 1/5 empty bottle and said āit was not used?ā with an obnoxious tone.
So I had to repeat myself again and told her that it was damaged and explained what was going on. While anyone with a normal vision and common sense would clearly be able to tell that the packaging shows significant signs of water damage. Or she could have asked me for clarification when I first said ādamage ā
I was not sure why she accused me of having used the item, nor do I understand why instead of asking me for further clarification, she simply turned around and passed that false assumption to her manager.
Even though I was able to return the item successfully, I feel violated and disgusted by such an experience and this girl...

I am a longtime loyal customer and have kept probably 90% of what I've bought, and I am always careful that any of my returns are unworn with tags on within. The return window. But this ooooone time I bought the Madden shoes shown on June 18 for my 17 year old and by June 23 they looked like the photos attached. He wasn't playing sports in them or anything! Just walking around per normal. That's just not right where normal wear causes the texture to completely flake off. Finally got around to bringing them back in today June 30, but still only 12 days post purchase. The counter staff did the right thing to quote policy to us but the manager was willing to make an exception for this unusual case. That's why I'm a customer for life! Thank you NR for your excellent customer service. I hope the Madden manufacturer will also do the right thing and realize this was a poorly made product and credit the store's buyer...

My problem with the store is that I bought a pair of shoes. After I brought them home I realized they were not the right shoes for the outfit I bought them for. When I took them back I wanted to return them and get the other pair of shoes I had been considering. The people at the counter ACCUSED ME OF TRYING TO SCAM the store because a sale had started that day.
Needless to say thats not what was going on as I was unaware of the sale until they told me about it at the counter. I ended up just leaving with the shoes I had no use for and buying another pair somewhere else. I Think about that accusation every time I walk into that store because of how angry and insulted it made me feel.
So basically the people that work here apparently think anyone that wants to return anything is a criminal...
