I want to start by saying, the only reason I'm giving even one star is because

1. I have to and
2. the chefs did their part by creating delicious food. YOU SHOULD BE THANKING THEM. If it were not for them, that waitress would have dropped the ball and I would have walked out. However, when I went to this location last night, I had THE WORST (I cannot stress how awful it was) customer service I've EVER experienced in my dining out experience. It started with a completely scatter-brained hostess who didn't seem to even be aware of what was going on around her. When she took us to be seated, she had no tables ready and had us stand by the bar while she wiped down the tiniest table in the place (When a booth was available). Once seated, we literally were left unattended for an upwards of 15 minutes. FIFTEEN BLOODY MINUTES OF NO SERVICE!!!! Finally our 'waitress' takes our drink order (2 glasses of water and one strawberry lychee martini) About 20 minutes after being seated, another couple was seated near by. They received drinks, appetizers, etc. before I even received my martini ordered minutes before. Our WATER finally arrived shortly after that couple received their appetizers (still no martini). When my martini finally arrived, it was being sloshed all over the place - so annoying because I lost some of my drink that way. As we were waiting another 20 minutes to have our FOOD order taken, people next to us broke dishes on the floor ( a complete accident) but shards of plate ended up next to us and the staff couldn't be bothered to clean it up?!? That's a safety hazard, folks. Plus it took away from the dining atmosphere by having literal trash on your floor. Our waitress was terribly inattentive. I had to ask OTHER waiters (Who weren't very friendly or helpful themselves) where our waitress was - When we were ready to order, when we were ready to pay, etc. She never even stopped by to check on the food. I'm a restaurant manager, so needless to say, this experience was ENTIRELY UNACCEPTABLE to me. I know you're supposed to do better. Especially for the prices you tag on your menu... I will NEVER EVER be returning to this location. I've never been so displeased while dining out in my entire life. I will only return to the downtown Long Beach location, which manages to provide a wonderful dining experience on top of amazing food. Take a page from...

Horrendous service. 1.) The wait staff ignored us and never came back to take our order after we put in starters. 2.) after flagging down a second waitress and putting our order in...food was brought to us separately and so long in between (10-15 minutes) that I basically finished my sushi plate before my husbands overcooked lobster was brought to us. 3.) The lobster was so overcooked. When we told them of the overcooked lobster to another wait staff (Now a third waiter now because I couldn’t find anyone who had previously helped us) he pretty much told us we were wrong because “that’s how they cook lobster and they sell out lobster every day” He took my husbands fork and flicked it like he was proving to us it was fine even though it was clearly rubbery and curling and stated that the chef “said it was good.” He came back and forth three times mumbling something to the effect about how we are wrong and how he doesn’t want us ordering another lobster and not liking it. Just absolutely ridiculous how everything was handled. It was my husbands 40th birthday and we had been waiting for a celebration to get lobster. We went Vons and got him a rib eye (being we wasted an hour and a half at the restaurant the lobster counter was closed unfortunately) because if you want something done right I guess you really have to do it yourself. Lastly, 4.) The fried calamari was oily.

It ended up being kind of gross, I got their sushi platter, and the salmon was slimy and the tuna was unpalatable. And I gave them a chance to make it right and they declined. They didn’t want to make their customers happy so it turned out to be a bad atmosphere and a bad experience. I would never go there again. All I can say is yuck! Their customer service and attention to detail was horrific. I’ve never experienced such A horrible distain for their customers satisfaction. And his big claim to fame was I’ve been open for 10 years, but there weren’t that many people in there maybe three or four other tables on a Thursday night not busy at all. It was disgusting. I’ll be surprised if I don’t get sick and have diarrhea by the middle Of the night. That’s a picture of two of the worst servers and then the manager he is not a very good business owner.
