I purchased a pack of hair from this shop. Once i opened it i realized the hair was a lot shorter and lighter than it appeared in the bundle—this might be normal as i do not shop for extensions often.
The receipt said that all exchanges would have to be done within 14 days and that items must be returned as they were.
I totally understand this policy—however i had only unraveled the hair some, noticed it was too short & folded it back over the cardboard, placing back in original packaging. I went back to she shop about 2 hours later—not to return but to exchange for a longer length.
The manager refused and was very nasty—she kept repeating “i cannot resale i cannot resale”. This is all she care about and not at all about her customers. I was polite—i even asked if they could possibly grant me a deal on the second package since they were unwilling to return the one i just bought. It was a complete waste of money and they did not care one bit that i couldn’t use it at all. Were nasty in their tone and unapologetic.
Like i said—I understand their policy and have no qualms with it, and if they would have been willing to help me out this one time (as a first time customer) the next time i shopped there i would have kept this in mind and made sure to really do research on the item i bought knowing i would not be able to return it once opened.
That being said, i like to shop someplace where the staff actually cares for the customers, and is willing to provide some grace in certain situations. I would not shop here again and would suggest African American women resort to buying their hair products online or from black owned businesses where we are not reliant on a commercial business that cares nothing for nurturing the business relationship they have with us.
This is my opinion. They do have a great variety—but whenever you buy from someone you are also voting with your dollars and supporting their business ethics. I would rather give my money to someone who respects my money &...
Read moreThe first time I went there I bought a wig. No one helped me but it also wasn’t busy so I was kind of annoyed. When I did get help the guy couldn’t get the wig for me because he was authorized too? So I had to wait even longer.
Fast forward hated the wig (it was very much synthetic even though they swore it was human) but they go back and forth with customers on stuff so I was like whatever just won’t buy another wig from them again.
I visit again around Black Friday to get a mannequin head with a stand and some other things to make a wig. One of the employees approaches me(I haven’t seen her since then) and says “there’s a beauty supply right down the street with actual deals” so I put everything back and go the Hair Queen Beauty and boy am I glad I did.
My last and final visit was yesterday. I went to my favorite place first and they didn’t have what I wanted so I HAD to go here unfortunately. I was looking at the braiding hair and the old man looked me up and down like we were beefing. I just continue to look and find what I need they only had 6 packs of hair that I wanted. So I politely said “excuse me sir” to ask if there was more hair he did even look up at me and was like “what.” I was caught off guard so was my bf because he was so rude the rest of the time and for what. I’m trying to buy more stuff from you. Anyway that will be my last time there.
If you want a place where they are decent people and sweet staff there’s literally Hair Queen Beauty it’s 2 minutes down the road from there. You would think y’all would treat your customers better seeing as you have your own staff recommending...
Read moreI use to frequent this store for all of my beauty needs often spending a lot of money. Right now I've probably spent a few thousand dollars. On 3/12/2019 I came to the store to purchase temporary hair spray and found two colors I felt matched my hair color. I brought both cans to the cashier and asked for a sample to ensure I was purchasing the correct color. The cashier informed me she couldn't provide me a sample of the color but asked another cashier if she could for verification. The 2nd cashier answered loudly "No" and told me I had to purchase first. I informed her I didn't mind purchasing the can but if the color was wrong would I be able to get my money back, she told me "No" again loudly and proceeded to take care of the customer she had in front of her. I asked her how could we solve the issue, she continued to ignore me in my face. My problem with this scenario is that this store can not exist in this community without the support of customers. I felt extremely disrespected, embarrassed and was treated unfairly. If anyone reads this comment please spread the word about this store and their practices. I went down the street to Beauty Queen who not only gave me a sample of the same color which turned out to not match my hair color, but the associate sold me another brand that matched my hair perfectly...Will not reccomend anyone to purchase anything from Classic Beauty, they dont take care of customers they're only concern is making money off the community without...
